A thread for the upcoming tournament

My thoughts BEFORE the brackets are released….

Duke will lose to the 2nd SEC team they face

Michigan elite 8

St Johns survives round 1 and then makes it to regional final and gets smoked

SEC overall….underperforms

UNC makes tournament, infuriates many and wins play in game and then round 1

Iowa St underperforms again

Big 10 4 teams make Sweet 16

Alabama, Duke (if Flagg back), Two B1G teams to FF — I’ll go MSU and Wisconsin but impossible before brackets.

Bolder Proclamations:

  • SEC goes unbeaten in 1st round.

  • Big Ten send 6 to the S16.
  • Mark Sears scores 40+ twice.

Sears is a tourney player but Bama hasn’t been great the last couple weeks when I watched.

Maryland has been very good…Wisconsin and Michigan peaking at the right time….Zona too

East isn’t nearly as strong….if Miss St upsets Duke, there are 10 teams that can get out.

Bama will likely smoke Robert Morris but game in nearby Cleveland, could be a fun atmos

Their comeback against a Duke team without Flagg and more and they were up 22 and went on cruise……Carolina gets in on that, as I predicted above.

$10 on UNC over SDSU and those winnings will go on them the next round

Houston possibly getting Gonzaga in round two. I’d be worried.

Seth Davis loves him some upsets.

Can’t wait for him to have Wofford vs SDSU in the national championship.

Apparently almost coming back against a Duke team playing without Flagg and another key guy was enough to make up for absolutely sucking against anything resembling a Quad 1 opponent.

You see what the committee thought of B1G with the omission of IU and OSU.

You’ll get 14 SEC teams and you’ll like it.

OSU played like trash down the stretch. WVU probably has the best case to be mad about missing the tour

WVU should’ve been in over UNC…they at least showed they can beat tournament teams

Losing by 30 to Pitt may not have helped though lol

By the way, I agree with this. UNC absolutely ending up in the elite eight.

I need to look at the bracket more closely but I could see nine of those SEC teams losing their first game, and a combination of UConn, Kansas, and UNC all making the elite eight if that’s possible. Idk when they would meet up.
