The Bieber trade was great, given where this team is.
Glad we didn’t send Kwan without a team matching the asking price, which was apparently high. Hold him if they won’t match, and play it all out again next year.
Sewald trade may help us since he’s gotta pitch for Detroit now lol.
In all seriousness, they did well. Didn’t panic with Kwan, got amazing value (top-50 prospect in minors) for Bieber, and are ultimately the same team that is 2.5 games out of a wildcard and went 14-6 in July. Granted, Ortiz and Clase are done, but there is still a path to Wild Card if the offense keeps up July and the starters keep killing it.
Well, this is probably the biggest regular season series in...??????
Skubal and Williams tonight is must watch. Hope Gavin rises to the occasion and the crowd (is it a sellout yet?) is electric. Gonna need the crowd these last 6 games to hopefully win the division. I think, based on who is playing who, 4-2 should get us in. And as long as 2 of those are vs Detroit, I think they take the Division.

2 unearned runs. Umpire gave them over a run on calls (per the umpire scorecard). And we squandered Jose on 3rd no outs. Gonna be sick.
I even said the division crown after the chase down was more impactful and long lasting than a playoff run (unless we made the WS) — now that we are here, I’m sick about yesterday.
