$15? $20
$30 on the Puckett. Probably would've been a better buy at $25 but it was my last card of the day and I basically had $30 left in my budget ($200 unless I found a Robinson RC).
eBay comps are pretty close to this. I probably could have been patient and got one cheaper on ebay, but probably only by a couple bucks at most after paying tax on it.

Do you have many 90s inserts?

Spot on. Was listed for $65 but he took $60.
Last big card from the show.
Being an 8 makes it really solid….I prefer the 85 Donruss rookie but this is a great card.
I have all of those cards you bought except the two Gwynn’s (I have around 300 Gwynn cards) and the Fleer Yount….love the 84 Fleer but I don’t have a tin

Nah…I pulled it from a pack in 1989 and god damn those injuries his entire time with the Reds
I’ve got a 1989 Griffey card from sports collectors digest ….its quite rare compared to the UD one
Bought a box of 1987 Topps cello packs to build the set and was hoping to get a pack with Larkin on top.
Oh Damn.
The rules to join that group are kinda stupid. I don't post on facebook very often (not since late 2023) so I can't join.

I am pretty sure I tried to join this groups weeks ago and didn't get accepted, but I tried again tonight and did get accepted.

Baseball card guys are really weird
Novice question...I was an avid collector with my dad back in the 80s and 90s.
Everything we collected is still in storage in my house or his.
Back then there was a good book, Beckett, that would list values of cards back to the 50s or something.
Does that still exist? I know now card value is highly variable with the cards rating, etc but is there a resource to get generic values?
I have a few old/nice ones still in their hard cases but never been graded.
A 1971 Thurman Munson Topps rookie
A 1971 Roberto Clemente Topps
1982 Cal Ripken Jr Topps rookie (3 guys on it)
A few others....is there anyway to know their value without sending them off to be graded? That appears to not be cheap and could cost more than what the card is worth.
Best general way to get value is search ebay sold listings.
So search "1971 Thurman Munson Topps" and select "sold items".
Grading can definitely be worth it depending on condition. A PSA 5 Munson just sold for $253. But a PSA 4 only sold for $60.
Put pics on here and I can tell you if worth grading
Just google the card and a lot of different sales will pop up
And 1971 was a tough year with that black border….its tough to find them in good condition from my experiences. None of my 1971’s that I bought from a shop in the early 90’s (Ryan, Seaver, Reggie etc) are in very good shape

Also if your going to submit them there are some places that do card cleaning and such to help you get a higher rating
Picked up a stack of cards this weekend at a local card show. This one ended up being my favorite after looking closely at them all tonight. It might be good enough to grade.
