I use them as a example as people from Republican administrations, HW Bush and W Bush, that understand the complex bureaucracy and still had difficulty.

Cheney and Rumsfeld sure understood "make war".

Not when they first started as Secretary of Defense. Both wanted to radically change the department and failed is my point.

This guy better have a good plan and good under secretaries

I give him under two years before other federal agencies find kiddy diddling or some other ruinous accusation on his computer that will "destroy" him. We now know just how far these entities will go. That is one of the net positives of Trump being elected in 2016 - because  that unintendedly exposed just how corrupt our govt is.

What were the credentials of the guy he is replacing?

A four star general.

Now let’s look historically who has held this position. Obama appointed Ash Carter who was a civilian with no history in the military in fact most people who have held the position have no military background.

To be truthful, anybody who is put into that position is susceptible to be heavily leaned on and manipulated by the military industrial complex. Every body should be concerned about this all the time, not just for Trump.

Both wanted to unleash war above all .  I’m hopeful this new guy isn’t a battle monger.

In semi-related news, looks like the Senate Majority leader will be Thune. Seems Twitter-MAGA's big mad because they wanted Rick Scott and, therefore, everyone involved in it being someone else is a DAMN TRAITOR!!!! Because in their brains, anyone who does anything other than what they think is best for Trump is some sort of historically horrible human being.

Tulsi for DNI. Meh. Fine.

Gaetz as AG is fucking terrible.

Zero chance he does not check Trump once on his worst impulses.

I'm looking forward to what Musk may be able to do.

On a personal side, I have to laugh about the number of MAGA people in my life (including immediate family) who HATED musk only a few years ago because he was "getting rich of government subsidies" and was sponging off of government largesse.  I was told yesterday  by one of these fine fellows that he is, in fact brilliant.  When I pointed out the this person was one of the people who had trashed him, he said (paraphrasing) "That goes to show how brilliant he is. He knew how to use the liberals and he was so good at it, he even fooled me."

It's interesting because a few years ago the Dems loved Musk because of his electric cars thing.

But, then he bought Twitter and kicked out the interference of govt spooks. Now the Dems pretend their skin is melting off at the mere mention of his name.

He is definitely a polarizing man.

Couldn’t be worse than Garland… but I’ve seen a few posts saying it’s a good possibility he won’t get confirmed.

Guys like him push innovation forward.  I just and watching 'Mericans loving on him.

I know you'll counter that he is hated by left wingers, but they're not appointing him to the head of a government commission, so that's why I mentioned mit from the MAGA context.  It's okay to laugh about the MAGA crowd once in awhile without doing a "whatabout" on the "dems" - really.

I actually agree with your other post, and still think it. A lot of Musk’s money comes from the government. SpaceX is probably fine, as they’re probably better than NASA, but his cars are a different story. How much money would he have without the government teet. That said, him buying Twitter was awesome, as the original people were liberal cucks. He’s still weird as shit, and still don’t necessarily trust him.

I'm not sure if you mean me? I don't have any plans to counter what you said about Must. Hence, my comment about him being polarizing.

I think he's a bit mad, but on the kooky science part of it. He's got an eye on the futuristic, for sure. I also think he will take some sciences to a whole new level - and that shouldn't really be a right/left or up/down thing.

If he and Ron Paul can help Vivek Ramaswamy cut down a sizeable amount of redundancy and waste I'm not going to be mad about it.

Other than that, I'm not really one of his groupies, I don't know a lot about his politics.

I haven’t been on Twitter pretty much ever, much less follow politicians. Odd Elizabeth Warren even passes your radar though.

Oh, you don't even have to follow somebody/politicians because sure as shit somebody else is and will repost.

Another gripe I have is that everybody is a blue check now.

Yea, you don’t understand Twitter like Boogie either. You have a young child and have never been on Twitter? Twitter is the news. Where do you find your current events?
