What is this?

Picture didn’t stick.  It was Trump playing 4D chess.

Ah.

I don't think it's 4D chess. The simplicity of it is checkers. I think fighting and firing is something that Trump is well known for previously. Does anybody think he won't be fighting somebody in or from his cabinet? Does anybody think he won't fire at least one or two of his cabinet?

Love Gaetz dropped out. He was not remotely qualified for the role.

Funny self own now, as he resigned from Congress, so now his only option is to join a Trump White House. Plus, the House Republicans get his annoying ass out of Congress.

Sorry, but to be fair nearly no one is qualified for cabinet rolls, back at least the last 3 admins.

Complaining about some nominee not being qualified is disingenuous since nearly none of them ever are.

Some of the recent  few Directors of Health Human Services were:

Becerra-lawyer, no background in medicine

Cochran-degree in public policy, not medicine

Azar-economics, not medicine

Burwell-“government” degree/major

Let’s look at DNI….

Haines-physics major…no intelligence background

I mean I could keep going….

As the great Milton Friedman once said referring to past American presidents... "do they choose their political appointees based on the virtue of the people appointed or on the basis of their political clout?"

You very well may be right, but it is the duty of the Senate to vet and verify. They do it for every DNI since the position was created post 9/11.

Ah yes one of the bureaucracies created to fix the bureaucracies that were acting in their own self interest.

So Trump's Labor Sec. is Lori DeRemer. Apparently Sean O'Brien from the Teamsters was heavily influential in Trump to make this pick.

I don't know anything about this woman. But I have seen populist left/right approve of her.

If the Chamber of Commerce was against it, then passing the legislation would've been the right thing to do.

Wrong. Pro union trash bill, which would hurt right to work states. Unions had a place and are now just anti-technology and bloat.

I was thinking about this the other day, and haven't seen anyone talking about it, yet.

But these govt unions are going to inflict maximum pain when the cuts start coming.  Chicago Teacher's union does it about every other year.  Their media friends will quickly latch onto the narrative that "cuts were too draconian, austere and poorly thought out", rather than the unions intentionally disregarding their job and obligation to gain public support to oppose the efficiencies.

If the gop wants union votes they need to act like it.

Isn't Trump a union buster?

I've never been sure if MAGA wanted union support or not. I know that I talked about the leader of the Teamster's union talking at the RNC because it's never happened before. I knew then that the Dems were in trouble. But the fact that the Teamsters didn't actually endorse Trump was another thing, altogether.

You’re unintelligent. They got plenty of union votes without sucking the union dick. Nobody smart wants more unions. Steel, gone, car manufacturers, moved to the South and Mexico, teachers unions…trash. But continue your lib narrative.

The workers are happy to earn what they are getting, without administrative costs going to some dumbass boss. Unions made sense 50 years ago, no longer. Some of us actually work or worked for corporations and not a school district their whole lives, and actually see how it works. Boeing moved a billion dollar business out of Washington to SC, and I can guarantee you their employees in the South are glad to have it. lol keep sucking the teacher union propaganda though. The same union that kept kids out of school for an extended period based on nothing but pure laziness.

I worked commercial roofing for 2 years in college. The government contracts made them have an equal number of union and non union employees. The union employees were the laziest pieces of shit, bc no one could touch them. 0 incentive to work hard.

Im not a union person. Here in the Ohio Valley, I witnessed the effects of unions as they happened. We all know that unions can hurt you just as much as they help. I've seen them play chicken and their workers lost their jobs. I saw the effects of NAFTA as they happened too.

Public unions can lick balls as far as I'm concerned.

My mom, my dad, my sister, and my oldest son are all in unions and the all hate the union.

My 2 teacher cousins too.

100 years ago you’d be exactly right.  You couldn’t be more wrong about unions in 2024.
