There was no "voluntary" choice of two plans.  Taxes are not voluntary.  What you're referring to has nothing to do with paying taxes but was simply a new program for reporting [a.k.a tracking] tips.

The fact that you continue to connect this to tax liability - as you did again just a few posts above - shows you either don't know what you're talking about or just really struggle with reading and writing.

those were two different conversations.... the whole voluntary thing started out when i said they could voluntarily choose between the two plans because people were bitching about the new plan for tracking tips.  The new plan for tracking tips was a voluntary plan.  NO ONE WAS FORCED TO USE IT.  Since people cant read or choose not to, they decided to respond about weather taxes are voluntary.  Then we started a whole new conversation about how people choose to report their taxes or not when paid in cash and how some may benefit from the new plan and some may benefit from the old plan.  Still other people continue to spout off about how taxes arent voluntary.  Yes i got it taxes are not voluntary and I never said they were.  How they report their taxes on tips and POS purchases was a voluntary new program. 

The conversation went further and people were saying it was a tax hike and I said it was a tax hike because most people in those industries underreport their earnings from my experience from friends and family who are in the service industry.   See below straight from the IRS.GOV  "Voluntary" program.  

WASHINGTON — The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service today issued Notice 2023-13, which contains a proposed revenue procedure that would establish the Service Industry Tip Compliance Agreement (SITCA) program, a  ! voluntary! tip reporting program between the IRS and employers in various service industries. I would do it for my own son too. But it’s funny that he ran around denying he would do it and saying no one is above the law. A lot of people eating crow defending him.  Nice little decade long pardon that covers him for crimes he MAY have committed, probably protects sleepy joe as well.

.....'protects sleepy Joe' ....... is exactly why he did it.  Likely protects the entire Biden Inc crime syndicate for the tens of millions of dollars gained in the influence peddling/extortion/money-laundering/tax evasion scheme.  Disgusting.

She is saying that they are breaking the law by not claiming all their tips, that taxes aren’t voluntary
