And speaking of "Perez", Brad Hand has pretty much turned into Chris Perez.

I was thinking that before he even took the mound last night.

And why would Tito feel it necessary for Hand to back up home?  Wouldn’t backing up home be a lot further than covering first?

Backup home...gtfoh. That’s a joke, and pathetic if Tito. Hand would be 15’ from home still if Santana went there. How the fuck is he going to back-up the throw...?

SMH.......why would Francona, Perez, Hand, or anyone else think that the play is at Home when you JUST went to an Intentional Walk to set up the game ending double play? My goodness, the Mets' hitter did exactly what Tribe wanted......a hard hit ball right to an infielder.

Oh well, Go Tribe!

It'all good, Tito just tweeted "If we win tonight, I'm takin' the boys to the Rockettes sneak preview."

Andre tweeted "Can Trev go too?"

Maybe Joe Borowski is getting off his couch somewhere and doing a little stretching.

So I have watched the replay over and over. What Gardens says here is right. We walked the Polar bear to set up a double play. So that should be in everybody’s head....hard grounder......second to first. Ball hit to the first baseman.....pitcher get your ass over to first. Not home.....covering home is not even a consideration here!

It just all sucks and I’m pissed about it.

The catch by Davis was one of the best I have ever seen.  We are going to be swept.

? Great catch in the end but he turned the wrong damn way and just kept going the wrong way. Indians CFers made better catches in back to back games vs the Reds...2 different guys

Allen gets out after should have been walked in ball 4. Baseball needs a computerized strike zone. Stupid

I disagree with your analysis of the catch.

Fair enough. Highlight shows will agree with you especially since NY. He played it like a guy still learning the OF.

Clipboard and Puig w/throwing errors on the same play. Todd Frazier, who hit the ball about 8 feet stands on third.

Naquin catches the fly ball and fires a one hop strike to Plawecki. Frazier is O-U-T Out at the plate.
