What started out as a decent Big Apple road trip (2-2 against the Yanks) turned out to be a very disappointing one. Hand needs to rediscover whatever it was he had before the AS break, and he needs to find it soon.

Civale with his 1.82 era is now 1-3.

Went from .5 game up on the Twins to now .5 game out of the Wild Card in the snap of a finger.

Yikes!  Did not realize that. ^^^^^^^

SMH.......why would Francona, Perez, Hand, or anyone else think that the play is at Home when you JUST went to an Intentional Walk to set up the game ending double play? My goodness, the Mets' hitter did exactly what Tribe wanted......a hard hit ball right to an infielder.

My guess is that, with Hand sucking recently, Tito's worried about his confidence, so is going out of his way to not pile on with the "and he can't even cover first base correctly!" stuff on top of the "can't get people out to save his life" stuff. Trying to control the public narrative by verbally putting blame on the one guy who has been a constant contributor all season long.
