Yeah, JRam hopefully gets his shit straightened out in the next week or so.

like_that: I hope you can dial in to here while you are overseas.

Nice to see Gomes stay hot—we’re going to need him.

Disappointing T6 for us.

Meanwhile, Carrasco has taken over for Bauer, who went 4.

We are still up 4-2.

Carrasco's body is starting to look like Sabathia's.

Carrasco struggled at times during his four inning stint, yet gave up no runs and k'd 8.

Well surprise to me, as Cookie is pitching into the 9th and has let the Sox back into it.

very interesting strategy by Francona, one that I truly don't understand--it seems to me the bullpen needs all the work it can get...anyway, J-Ram still struggling, and Frankie needs to get it going again as well

No surprise but they open up on Friday 10/5 in Houston for Game 1.

I was not expecting Carrasco to come out for the 9th. The bullpen still needs work and this would have been a good time to use them.

Well, Tito doesn’t know if Bauer will start or be a pen arm in the postseason. Carrasco will be our 2nd pitcher if it’s the pen. Kluber is on schedule for first start, so Carrasco AND Bauer had to go yesterday as starters to get them on schedule to pitch second game. Makes perfect sense to me.

I had no problem with Cookie going 4, but to come out for the 9th just seemed strange...Allen & Hand haven't been setting the world on fire, and I just think every time an opportunity arises in a true save situation they should get the call...jmo

Agree completely. I was cool with both going 4 innings but thought it was odd that neither of the closer candidates came out in a save situation. I mean I know it wasn't a make or break game and Tito was getting their work in but Hand & Allen could use some in those situations too.

I see it both ways. Don’t want to have Carrasco starting a game after not being extended for a month.

This game was meaningless so I don’t have an issue with it. The bullpen will get some work the next 3 games.

Lindor with a lead off HR. His 37th and 9th lead off HR. 1-0 with the White Sox coming to bat.

I heard Hammy say that in the last 35 games, JRam is batting .167.

But he leads off the 3rd with a double.
