Delete this thread if it is a repeat thread, but the only offseason related thread I can find is the NFL draft thread. That thread has been buried btw.

Anyway, no shocker here, but Jameis is still a piece of shit http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2018/06/22/nfl-to-suspend-jameis-winston-for-allegedly-grabbing-female-uber-drivers-crotch-report-says.html.

Gotta love the NFL giving him 3 games. If a video comes out will it be increased to 5? If he is on good behavior will they decrease his suspension to 1?

The league is a bunch of hypocrites. They'll reduce it.

I was talking to my boss right after Kellen Winslow got busted for the robbery and told him "I wouldn't be surprised if that dude has CTE. Between him getting caught spanking it in a Walmart parking lot, now this robbery? Behavior seems pretty erratic for someone who made that much money."

Then the sexual assault accusations come out and then a story about him potentially claiming CTE comes out. Just seemed like very strange behavior ala Junior Seau.

Anyhow, can't wait to get this season going.

It's extremely early, but Sam Darnold is looking good so far. I expect he'll be the starter before the season is over.

I didn't even know about the jerking off at Walmart story. He is definitely not all there in the head.

I always thought he was a hot head, but I guess whack job never crossed my mind. When you start thinking about it though, it kinda makes sense.

After the third incident I was also thinking he was the next Ryan Leaf (off the field) but Winslow's behavior was just really peculiar.

I also can't imagine the pain the guy had to deal with so he could also be hopped up on painkillers. From the stories I heard when he was with the Browns (couldn't practice during the week and barely was available for games) it sounds like it was a pretty big challenge for him to play as long as he did. Granted, he brought a lot of it on himself with his Evil Knieval stunt but Butch Davis also helped shorten his career.

Doubt this happens. As we've seen before, teams don't tend to cut their star QB after sexual assaults.

The whole kneeling fiasco has clouded everyone's judgement. People apparently don't realize or don't remember that the NFL for many years have had scumbags on rosters, because they produce. It's never going to change either, unless people refuse to watch.

Wouldn’t the bigger idiot be the person who thinks that Jameis Winston is a franchise QB who can win you a Super Bowl? He’s a middling NFL QB who throws way too many picks and isn’t worth the trouble.
