Figured I'd start a thread specific to Thursday nights draft with some true/false questions.

True/False

Tua will NOT be the second QB taken

Jamal Adams (Jets) will be traded on draft night

Trent Williams (Redskins) will be traded on draft night

Leonard Fournette (Jags) will be traded on draft night

The Browns will trade down from #10

The Browns will NOT trade down from #10 but also will not take a left tackle at 10

Pittsburgh will trade up into the 1st round

The Raiders will trade up for a WR

The Patriots will trade up for their future QB

Me being only 35 min from Athens I’m seeing people on FB organizing a large parade through Athens and by Joe’s house (he is there)....decorating cars in LSU/Bengals/Athens colors etc. Police and patrolled....all in cars of course.

The draft is going to bring a breath of fresh air to this empty sports month. My bday is Thursday, so I am taking Friday off, I'll be sure to post all my drunk hot takes. As I've mentioned, my buddy is the NFL draft writer for the Athletic, and he said it is crazy this year trying to mock people to teams bc of the uncertainty that Covid has caused, and lack of player meetings with teams, talking to scouts in person, etc. He weirdly has Becton going to the Browns with Wills and Thomas on the table, even though he likes Wills as his number one OT (this was in an older mock, it might change before his final one). I'm just excited to have any kind of sporting "event" right now.

Agree on the "breath of fresh air."

Dane is right about it being "crazy to mock." I've seen reports to "expect the unexpected" and that the mocks are way off.

Becton would be my 4th tackle right now. He's already in the program for a drug test, and II doubt it's weed because weed will soon become a "yawn" in the league. This may sound funny but heard an interview with him and one of his hobbies is "cooking." 365 lbs, down from 380 at the Combine, and he likes to cook. Might eat himself out of the league, lol, but that's not why he's my 4th tackle. He did well in the wide zone scheme but I just don't think it's sustainable, at his size, at the pro level.

I'm one of the few who don't think tackle is a lock for the Browns at 10. I think their 1a/1b are Wirfs & Thomas and if they can't trade down may take someone like Kinlaw. Just hope they don't do something stupid and take a Josh Jones at 10, when they could get him in the late 1st/early 2nd.

That doesn’t greatly interest me. I also won’t complain but I like how Pittsburgh has success with 2nd and 3rd team guys in the backfield. If they have a plan though I trust them.

I'd be open to Fournette for the right price, 1-2 year deal. I'm assuming he wants long term?

Miami is trying to move up to #3, without trading #5, so they can offer the Bengals 3, 5 and much, much more to move up to #1.Kitties aren't budging.

I’d be really tempted on that one...take Okudah at 3 and Tua at 5, who I think will be fine.
