NCAA 2024 Player Pick’em

Updated to the best of my box score abilities.

Turtles went chalk and was rewarded with a nice boost from the Zaga guys. It’ll be interesting to see if any of his guys have some “breakout” games to see if he can catch Jschilling. 

Terry could make it close if Houston advances to NC and his guys perform well. 

Sportschampps is a big Alabama fan. And could use Iowa St advancing to FF. 

I have a lot of guys (9) but I think realistically I’ll only have 4 left going into the EE games. A Duke or Clemson upset would give me some hope. 

I should have mentioned, there is a second tab, with a bracket, which needs to be updated to calculate the "projected results". Here is what I have. 

Wild that turtles is projected in 2nd, with THREE 0's. Chalk is definitely helping him (and Kansas having 6 players). Watching Gonzaga in person up close this past week, I think they might have the best team (not named UCONN) to take out Purdue. Size, strength, length, good guards, good shooting (really just gorgeous offense overall. No surprise with Few), and their guards can harass ball-handlers without fouling, which is a key to turning Purdue over and making them uncomfortable. 

I have a realistic shot if my guys win.. I think. Relies on UConn losing to Illinois….

It would be close. Luckily for you, Edey could still score 100 points. Shead has been solid too.

Illinois and Creighton advancing would definitely be huge you.

Some madness last night....!

UNC loses, and thus another year of me winning nothing. I’m rigging it so I pick 12 next year.

I honestly think there's 5 of us that could still win this thing.

JSchilling wins this thing if Duke, Marquette, Tennesee, and NC State all advance. He has the Spencer/Karaban combo at UConn already and if he gets some support from those other teams - it's over.

Turtles has the stud in Shannon Jr and has a lot of guys left - but 4 of his guys are like 6/7ppg scorers. Turtles will lose 1 of Shannon Jr or Castle from UConn tomorrow.

Sportschamps is interesting with his 3 Alabama guys, but Wrightsell is injured currently. Has Alexander from Creighton and Jones from Purdue going tonight. Could really use a Creighton win.

Mirg still has that chance with Edey and Shead. Hawkins from Illinois advancing helps too. Has Ashworth (CREI) and Joplin (MARQ) still.

RollBrowns has Schierman CREI, Sears BAMA, Roach DUKE, Hall CLEM, and Hickman ZAGA. Could be interesting for him if Creighton, Duke, and Zaga pull out wins tonight. 

I've got Griffen from Bama advancing and Girard from Clemson as well. Have the combo of Proctor/Mitchell (Duke) tonight vs Roberts HOU - so I will lose someone there tonight. Also have Loyer PUR vs Nembhard ZAGA going so going to lose someone there. Then Ighodaro from MARG. Likely need a Duke and Zaga win. Unlikely.

I have to think with NC State and DJ Horne advancing, plus your UConn duo - you have this thing wrapped up. 

I have myself for 427 with Loyer (Purdue) and Griffen (Bama) left.

I have some work to get done, then will post what I have from the weekend. 

JSchilling has this locked up. But the fight for 2nd and 3rd is going to be fun. 

We also have a tie (currently) with high game. I think in the past I split that $25 each. Likely do that again. I cant come up with a fair/logical tiebreaker (ideally, 2nd highest game from those players, but in future, they may only play 1 game). 

I dont think anyone can catch these 4. And I dont think anyone can catch JSchilling for top spot.
