Clevinger to the 10-day injured list.

Tito told reporters it will be 6 to 8 weeks before we're even looking at him picking up a ball!

Yikes.

quite a disparity here--hope it's the former and not the latter

It's the latter. They announced 10 day list, and then Tito dropped the bombshell. So he's probably out 3 months.

In better news, offensive explosion in Detroit today.

Did they give an actual diagnosis on Clevinger?

Pretty sure that going on 10 day is a first step and can be transferred to the 60 day IL at a later time

Is Plutko healthy?

Yeah, going on the 10 (formerly 15) day DL is more a formality to allow a team to replace their spot on the roster than an actual indication of how long it'll be before they're back on the big league club.

Is Plutko healthy?

Just did some research to find that he is on the Columbus IL for strain in the right forearm.

Wittgren will be wearing his Tribe jersey number (62).

And like Laley asked, I'm wondering what diagnosis was given to make the decision for not throwing for so long, since all we know is "upper back strain".

Just realized with the win today, Tribe is back in first. Let’s stay there for about 6 more months.

Another club record today.....most strikeouts in the first ten games........by OUR pitching staff, that is.

From Indians.com:

Clevinger - "Teres major muscle strain."

Next start for Clevinger would have been Saturday

Cody Anderson is working back from injury and only put in 3 inn Sunday

Jefry Rodriguez worked well Saturday, as did Woj Monday.  Would guess spot start for either or them, Rodriguez might be long term

It would be nice to stay there and be healthy in 6 months too.  This has been a terrible start to the season in terms of health.

Win streak ends at 5.

Start a new one and re-claim first.

Bauer human.

How about that Shane Greene?

8 wins for the Tigers and 8 saves for him.

Great job by Bieber with Cimber and Hand closing it out.

Good job, iclfan2!

Trivia: It was announced today that Chris Davis tied the major league record for most plate appearances in a row without a hit (57) shared with Tony Bernazard when he was with the Tribe in 1984.

I either didn't know that or intentionally forgot.
