Figured it had to be them, since they are 1-2 in all-time Ks

Yeah...Reggie topped out at 171 and Thome 185. I think Thome is in like 60th place.

Schmidt had 180 and I think if not for Bobby Bonds would’ve held the record for a while

Question #103:

This is the only Hall of Famer in the last 100 years to lead the league in home runs and have fewer than 15 doubles in the same season.

Hint: It's the widest differential during that time frame for any HOF batter with fewer than 15 doubles in a season.

Mickey Mantle is my guess. Not a big doubles guy.

Well damn.  Killebrew.  In 1964, Killebrew led the league with 49 bombs, despite only getting 11 doubles during that season.

His gap of 38 is wider than any gap by any HOF player during that time frame in either direction (homers over doubles OR doubles over homers).

Weird year.

ha, only reason I guessed him is because I guessed Kiner and Killebrew popped into my head also with the same sound. And only reason I guessed Kiner is cause he led league so often figured maybe once he didn’t have doubles.

Also just stumbled on this, but might wanna check out Lou Brock in 1968 on that question (2B over HR).

Hot damn.  Guess my segmenting was off.

Well, at least the question itself was good.

Question #104

What player in MLB history has had the most career HR but at no point was ever the Active career HR leader?
