With this upcoming stretch (Chargers, Cardinals & Broncos) they need to bank as many wins as possible, regardless of how ugly.

Basically always the case regardless of schedule. Bank the wins in case a couple injuries occur.

Ugly wins count just the same. Go Browns.

Baker. Woof. Defensive line is outstanding…please, please, please stay healthy. Delpit, Greedy, Newsome and JOK bring the needed youthfulness and athleticism to the secondary that we’ve been missing, Ward too, but he’s been around.

Stefanski dialed up some nice calls I thought, but when Baker is that bad you just gotta admit defeat in the passing game and run it. Like OBJ was WIDE open. I think it was Harrison or one of the TEs a few plays priors to that. The screen to Hunt was set up perfectly, but he hit his OL instead. He was just bad all around — like not even seeing Felton on that 3rd down.

Malik McDowell is looking like one of Berry's "diamond in the rough" finds.

2nd round talent that we got cheap cause of off field issues. I don’t like this shit, but everyone in the league does it so fuck it. Only way to stay competitive is to have bad dudes on the roster.

This isn't a stretch but I'm calling my shot that JOK blocks a punt before this season is over. Browns haven't blocked a punt, it seems like, in forever but it looks like JOK is just missing a couple times a game.

If I am Stefanski, I'm not sure I'm leaving him on ST long enough for that.

Going to be another test against the Bolts. I think the Browns can run on their defense but Baker has to be better. The defense can shut down the Chargers running game but Herbert will be rough. Big stretch of games the next 3 weeks.

Chargers will be really tough, and impossible if Baker doesn't play better. Some really good teams coming up, but you know what? The Browns are a really good team. They need to continue to find ways to win and hopefully come out of this stretch 2-1.

Yeah….I think the browns running game will be the difference. I think Browns will get enough pressure on Herbert to keep him from being great….he is quite good though.

Similar teams, good match up

If Wills is out that will hurt. Looks like Baker is starting to feel a phantom pass rush and moving around too much. Gonna need a great plan to get the run game going (Chargers one of the worst against the run).

If Hubbard can return, that will help. A fully healthy Hubbard is better than a hobbled Wills.

To your point on Baker, maybe it was just Stefanski believing these teams were too similar and knew each others tendencies but I don't recall seeing much, if any, play action on Sunday and that's where BM using thrives.

Wills needs to just sit a week. Even if Hubbard isnt back. He keeps re-injuring it and eventually thats gonna lead to a worse injury. Just sit him and let it heal to 100%.

Not sure if he was joking or not but Myles posted that he decided to go sleeveless for the first time this year against the Vikings and got a note from the league requesting a drug test the following Monday.

I would take Jaylon Smith in a millisecond to help with our LB pass coverage.

Browns could be a front runner for him. How about Stephon Gilmore? Pats just released him a few minutes ago. Although with the play of the corners and Gilmore's price tag, I'd think there would be more interest in Smith.

Less of a need, but talents talent.

Have heard there was a drop off in Jaylon Smith's play and with the addition of Micah Parsons and Vander Esch's return he became expendable. Plus he was getting paid well and Dak comes before any LB. Sounds like Smith may have lost a step.

He's still rated extremely high in pass coverage, which is where Browns would need the help.

PFF has him ranked 11th overall (even if you don't agree with PFF, its not nothing). That ranking is due mostly to his coverage numbers this season. Rush defense he has lost his quick first step and has taken bad gaps to the carrier. Both of those problems are basicallu moot in pass coverage though.
