Throw out as many names as possible, sure to hit one. I'm ok with Pryor coming back but he was disliked to much in Wash that he wasn't even active some games. Sure he's better than our stable of misfits but lets not pretend it's a great signing.

What do you mean right? They may be on their radar, doens't mean they're coming here. Hell doesn't even mean their agents are picking up the phone.

I don't think he is a great signing but I think he could be a better option than Coleman, who is supposedly on the trading block. Allen Robinson would be the ideal but I'm skeptical they will tie up all that money in WR's. Would be a good insurance policy if Gordon decided to screw up again.

Darnold, Rosen or Allen--yes...Mayfield? hell no

Yup. My feeling.

Browns take Barkley

Giants take Allen or Sam

Colts take ????? Who cares

Browns (Potential Allen,Sam,Rosen) Mayfield not of the pic picture for the Browns

Allen or Sam my pic ....Rosen still a good win for the Browns

I posted earlier but it was skipped over... what’s the knock on Mason Rudolph ?

  1.  Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 235. Arm: 32.5. Hand: 9.13.
    40 Time: 4.90.
    Projected Round (2018): 2-4.

3/10/18: Sources said that Rudolph interviewed well at the Senior Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine, but he is a love/hate prospect in the scouting community. One team source likes Rudolph, but many others are skeptics. A general manager of a playoff team told me they had Rudolph graded on the third day of the 2018 NFL Draft. Another NFC general manager said they thought Rudolph could go on Day 2. An AFC college scouting director of a playoff team said they were giving Rudolph a fifth-round grade. One area scout said that they were really concerned with how Rudolph struggled throwing into tight windows, because he won't have receivers running wide open like they were for him at Oklahoma State. Given the big discrepancy, Rudolph could go in the early rounds of the 2018 NFL Draft, because it only takes one team to fall in love. Many teams don't like him, however, and have his grade low.

Rudolph will need development as a pro. He will have to work on his shaky accuracy and field vision, plus get used to playing under center and calling plays in the huddle. Rudolph is also not very athletic, though he has good size with average arm strength. Going through progressions and reading the field are problems for Rudolph, and he has to improve there for the NFL. His anticipation is terrible, too, and that will have to improve for the pros, or he could be taking a lot of sacks from holding onto the ball too long.

Rudolph didn't have his typical performance when TCU dropped Oklahoma State. He completed 22-of-41 for 398 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions against the Horned Frogs. Previously in 2017, Rudolph lit up Tulsa, South Alabama and Pittsburgh. Rudolph didn't play well against Texas and had a plethora of interceptions dropped versus West Virginia.

In 2017, Rudolph completed 65 percent of his passes for 4,904 yards with 37 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

7/17/17: Rudolph completed 63 percent of his passes for 4,91 yards with 28 touchdowns and four interceptions in 2016. He ran for six scores as well. Rudolph (6-5, 235) has good size, but he needs work on his field vision and transitioning to a pro offense.

Rudolph has nice size with an arm to deliver the ball downfield. He throws nice touch passes and locates passes well. However, Rudolph is going to need a lot of work on his field vision for the NFL. He rarely works beyond his primary read and constantly stares down his first option. In terms of his longer-term development, Rudolph was wise to return for his senior season. He should focus on improving his field vision to work through progressions before going pro. Along with improving his footwork, working on being under center, and learning how to call NFL plays.

What I’ve noticed of him is he doesn’t have a great arm. His ball tends to sail but he seems to usually have a good trajectory to make up for it. I know that’s not great for the nfl though. What I was impressed with when I’ve seen his video is he footwork is impeccable and and moves great in a pocket. Always keeps his head up so I’m not sure I agree with that review from whoever wrote that. I do think his lack of arm strength is an issue though for the nfl.

NFL Comparison: Christian Ponder

Bottom Line

Pocket quarterback with good size who has shown consistent improvement as a passer. Rudolph is more of a downfield, play-action passer than a quarterback who can win with precision and arm strength. He's a capable field reader who has the ability to operate with timing which will be important since his arm can be dull at times. Rudolph could be an early backup with the potential of becoming an average to below average starter in the league.

tl:dr - He sucks

I guess with his lack of arm strength that's probably true. From what I've seen though he's pretty damn accurate and is really good in the pocket. Probably better than most in this draft.

I expect to hear some rumblings today of who the Browns have agreements with. Allen Robinson (to the Bears) is now gone. If I were to prioritize, my top two targets would be Trumaine Johnson (edit: likely won't happen as I understand Johnson hates Gregg Williams) and Nate Solder.

Ben Volin@BenVolin

Source says Browns are making a big run at Nate Solder to replace Joe Thomas at left tackle. Patriots are going to have some stiff competition. Browns have a ton of money to play with

That would be a nice get.  I think Thomas plays this year, but it will likely be his last unless we look poised for big things in 2019.

The thing that's sad (and interesting) about Solder is that I guess he has a 2 year old with kidney cancer. One of the draws to Cleveland could be that it's near one of the best medical facilities in the world.

Michael Silver@MikeSilver

If you're the Browns, the smart play at this point is to pursue a replacement for Joe Thomas. If he plays, this is almost certainly his final season. He still has potentially enticing TV options to ponder, among other considerations. He may not have a definitive answer yet.

I won't QQ at Sioldr, however if Joe decides at Wk8 he wants to come back, Solder moves to RT. Not even debatable.

What would be ideal would be for Solder to man the RT spot for one year and then flip when JT retires, assuming he returns. LA has been saying JT is coming back

Dummy could've been a very rich man...

Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero

No surprise: the have tendered Josh Gordon as an exclusive rights free agent. He has four credited seasons, so it's worth $790,000.
