Way to go. Losing to Los Angeles-adjacent of San Diego.
I wonder if they're trying to save Chubb for next year. Their "plan" went South when Tyrod got hurt. I think they brought in him & Hyde to buy time for these younger guys (Baker, Chubb, etc) to learn and then go full bore next year. The plan just accelerated a little faster than expected.

I don't think they're trying to 'save' anyone--this is the NFL, and whoever gives them the best chance to win plays...IMO, El Guapo is playing pretty damn good, and that's just what we see on Sundays and not what he does in practice during the week--maybe Chubb just isn't ready?!?

Looked pretty ready on those two runs totaling 100+ yards against Oakland. Also had another real nice one yesterday that got called back on a penalty.
Hyde is solid but the explosion that Chubb brings is night & day. Hyde is a slap hitter and Chubb is hitting home runs. The success of Sony Michel & Barkley, as rookies, should at least buy Chubb a few more touches. Especially after that Oakland game.

Agreed, don't think we're saving anyone. Esp considering that Hue is gone without playoffs this yr. I don't think Hyde is bad this yr, but he's not as dynamic as Duke or Chubb and play calling isn't doing him any favors.

I was just going to say about the play calling. Hyde is fine, but on his plays where he doesn’t do well it’s because they needed to run that play for Chubb or DJ.
I actually like Hyde, he just shouldn’t be getting 90% of the carries.

Agreed completely.
On playcalling, it was so frustrating on Sunday when the Browns were looking at 2nd & 8 or longer and we'd just shove Hyde up the gut for min gain. No creativity, no flow.

Bingo
Geez, Streater out for the year. WR core dwindling. Shobert out for a little bit too
I wasn't hating on Hyde earlier, he runs hard, but they should be finding any way to get playmakers the ball. Chubb I just think should get some more carries in general (not a ton or anything), but the Duke use is plain stupid.
Street broke his fucking neck, that's insane. Shobert will be out for a while with a hammy, injuries starting to pile up.
Amari Cooper is supposedly on the trading block.

Also might be dead after yesterday.
Idk who to get, but Dorsey has gotta get on the phone and work something out. He’ll kill bakers rookie season if he continues with no WRs for him to get the ball to.
If Cooper is healthy and it takes a 4th round pick, why the hell not?

Seems like a deal worth taking a gamble on, esp considering this is looking to be a weak WR draft class.
Unreal stat I just read:
Thru 6 games, picks No. 33 (Corbett), No. 35 (Chubb) and No. 67 (Thomas) have combined to play 62 snaps for the Browns.
Imagine if the Browns had taken Anthony Miller and Harold Landry instead. SMH

Has Thomas even played?

That’s terrible. I think I’m more pissed off about Corbett. That was a real WTF pick when it happened and remains one now.

Yep a few snaps. His PFF rating is wretched. I feel very confident in saying he won't be on an NFL roster by his 4 yr. He was a total bum in preseason, and has been a total bum when he sees the field. He has Veikune written all over him. Fucking waste.
Yeah, For as much as the 1st round picks were studs, the next few left a lot to be desired....
Not a penalty here either huh?
