Amir Garrett, Jated Hughes and David Hernandez have all been excellent all year for the Reds

I'm looking forward to seeing if Carrasco looks any better this afternoon.

ditto--if he continues his slide today, I'm convinced there's something physically wrong--he just ain't right...

I'm sorry, I may have missed something, but what does this have to do with the Tribe/Brewers?

Relievers we should trade for.

After 2, Cookie with 0 runs given up on 4 hits with 4 K's.

Worked out of a big jam in the 2nd with bases loaded on 3 singles and a 3-1 count, two outs and got the guy on a fly ball.

1 run on 6 hits after 3

We, of course, have 0.

A good 4th getting them 1-2-3 and now has 7 K's.

Still 1-0.

I hate to say it, but we could probably get somebody pretty good for the bullpen for Zimmer.

Brewer pitcher yanked in the 5th after giving up tying run.

I don’t want to give up Zimmer. He may never hit at an AS level, but just .250 and 20 HRs more than makes him invaluable with his defense/speed on bases. We have plenty elsewhere we can give up to bolster this team.

Now, if we get an arm under contract as dominant as Miller...than yes.

I agree.  I would hate to see that happen. I just had that thought since they sent him down.

Hey, we took the lead, 3-1 going to the 6th.

Allen gets them 1-2-3-4.  Bullpen gives up no runs.

3-1.

Allen’s curve looked great today, aside from 2 hangers. Luckily he got away with them. Carrasco looked solid after a boatload of hits early. Only difference I saw is he didn’t leave anything over the plate. Started to bury his offspeed stuff. Sometimes he throws too many strikes. And unlike Kluber, who has such ridiculous precision and movement, it backfired on him cause guys aren’t expanding the zone...just swinging at an 0-2/1-2 pitch in it.

Brewers come to town for a 2 game set.

Pitchers:

Tuesday: Guerra vs Kluber

Wednesday: Anderson vs Carrasco

Go Tribe

Was listening to the tail end of the game on my commute home and Hammy brought up something interesting. The Tribe & Brewers had a couple of two game series spread out a couple of months apart, with rain outs, days off, etc. what were the odds that the Brewers would end up facing Kluber & Carrasco is both series?   Seven percent.
