Who is in Columbus these days? I will be in town (likely staying near Nationwide) Wednesday, March 15th - Sunday, March 19 for the NCAA Tournament first/second rounds. Looking for good food and drink spots.

Would also be down to potentially meet up as a group (is there enough posters to be called a group??) on Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday. Our games are Friday/Sunday so those are out, but Saturday, after a bit of AM work, I should be free all day. Only note is will 100% need TVs to watch the games.

Go to any of the Yogi's locations.  Frantz rd is my favorite.  Martino's on sawmill road is also good.  All of these places have 25+ tv's and good food.  If you are down town go to parlay sports lounge.  at bridge park go to Urbans pint house.  I will most likely be at Martinos or yogis frantz.

I love High Bank in Granville. Good food, tvs, and whiskey. Grandville Cafe is in that area too.

Brewdog and LandGrant brewery should have tvs too. Food is usually trucks.

R bar is the hockey bar in the area. Food is hit and miss.

Some of the places in the short north will be really good for food, though tvs aren't in all of them.

I think the new Hilton rooftop bar may be open by then too.

Polaris has the top golf, but also my favorite place, Nomad. I also like Kitchen Social, and Cornado taco place.

True. Hollywood sports book is open on the west side and the Caesars is open at the Eldorado south of town. I prefer Hollywood.

I’ll be in Columbus for the first round this year. I have to work Thursday but the other days will be reserved for Basketball.

I’ll throw out a few thoughts.

Parlay is expensive and just kinda meh. Land grant tv are in the smaller side and the March Madness experience there always seems to lack. I’ve watched early games there a couple times it may get better later in the day. Hollywood Casino will probably be packed but would be fun.

I would suggest maybe checking out the new CBC beer garden. I’ve heard good things.

I dunno my plans but I would be willing to do a meet up. I know one day I’ll be watching from the basement bc I used March Madness as the reason I need an 85” and two 60” on the wall in the basement.

Nice. Once I figure out my hotel I’ll hit up whoever will be around.

I live near Columbus but I won't be there that weekend. Have my own 3-4 day party with friends where it takes me about 3-4 days afterwards to recover because I'm not getting younger and it sure isn't getting easier to shrug off 60+ drinks in three days.

We are staying at Marriott Columbus — OSU.

Not that it matters, I’ll drive/meet people anywhere.

Sportchampps/I92/Geeblock — looking at maybe Saturday. Anyone down to meet up at a bar/restaurant for a few?

I won’t be in Columbus…if Pitt can beat Miss St and then knock off Iowa St on Friday….I’ll be en route to Greensboro for Saturday and then game on Sunday

If not I’ll just be staying around town and watching games here.

Inside info saying their rim protector Federiko hurt his knee and is unlikely to be anywhere near full strength if he does play. Pitt struggles when he’s not in and his backup is 7’1 165 lbs lol…..so unlikely they’ll even beat Miss St. So if anyone was leaning Pitt past Iowa St, don’t.

Let me know where you end up. We have guests coming into town but might sneak out Saturday to watch basketball and the UFC fights.

Wife’s birthday was yesterday and went late afternoon to Columbus

Stopped at Scioto Downs for a short time….left the venue +$50

Dinner at BJ’s Brewhouse…..whoa that was perfectly great food. I had never been there before.

Hit the Funny Bone and saw Aries Spears….holy shit inappropriate but my god he had the place rolling. Some dude from Armenia didn’t like him making fun of Trump (very small part of act) dude interrupted his act and Spears just went at him and made every possible inappropriate Armenian joke and kept going back to him….complete mic drop and in my head I had a plan if shots were fired.

A bit beyond my style of humor but he was one of the best comedians I have seen.

Overall trip 9.5 out of 10

Was in Santa Anita years ago and decided we would try and go to the original BJs. Since we had 8 of us, and no one can make a decision on work dinners and I had been to a few throughout the country so knew they had lots of options. Very chain like food, imo, but thought the original would be cool.

Welp, the original is in Santa Ana california, not Santa Anita. So yeah, just went to another chain of BJs Brewhouse. lol

Chain like maybe but this particular visit everything was perfect and really good. Arguably the best ribs and barbecue sauce I’ve ever had. Mini pizza was excellent. Every side was on point….it’s just rare nowadays. Brownie in a pan for dessert was great also.
