There have been 19 teams who have had both the CYA and MVP. 18 of them have finished in first. The exception is the 1962 Dodgers who won 102 games and finished second.
Good Info there^^^

How many had them as the same person? Ie, Tigers with Verlander?

Sorry I should have read more carefully. The 19 times is with different players winning each award. It would be interesting to look at the finishes if you also count pitchers doubling up.
I wonder if Bieber will take any MVP votes away from Ramirez like teammates sometimes do.

Gotcha. That’s actually pretty incredible it’s happened that often. I think Bieber is a shoe-in for CYA, and have a sneaky feeling he finishes higher than José in MVP — but neither wins it.

God, I wish this happened with a live crowd.
Tied at 1 in the 5th
Too bad we couldn’t get more than one run for Bieber. 🤨
Would’ve taken a miracle for anyone to catch Bieber, but he wrapped up that CYA tonight. Now go get a win and maybe somehow sneak into a top-2 central spot!
Tribe up 2-1 in the 6th.
Tied to the 9th.
Here we go.
B9 and still tied.
Can’t give up lead-off doubles, but I think Moncada is toast on that triple if Naquin hits the cut-off man.
Well damn.
Nice.
Luplow.
Two walk offs in a row after only one the whole season.
Go Tribe.
