Met her in 2008 at the Spelling Bee.

Met LeVar at the Spelling Bee last year. It was mostly in passing, he asked how we (my manager and I) were doing as we walked by during rehearsal stuff.

Met Ajit Pai at the Spelling Bee a few years ago. Huge nerd, very nice guy.

Met Jose Canseco and he talked about human clones living amongst us. 

Never met the Dunner.

Me and another guy work on all of the software that the Bee uses to run their program. This includes software for running the competition on tv, plus a bunch of other portals that are used throughout the year by spellers, sponsors, and schools.

Why???

After College my wife got a job in Kansas. I moved with her and found a job selling and running conference calls. The company I worked for was a very high end teleconferencing company. Sometime the calls I would book and run were press tours. 

Skip Bayless was releasing a book so I would connect him from Radio Station to radio station as he went live on air. Most guys would only come on right before the call and get off right after. He stayed on the line and Bs with me the whole time. 

Another funny story from then was doing  a press conferences for Jack Black. It was Jack Black and a bunch of reporters asking him questions about a movie he was in. I had to come on the line and say “if you would like to ask a question press *1 now” After I say this Jack Black says *1 Bitches.

Was coaching at regional XC meet in Pickerington this fall and the race before ours I just picked a spot on the rope as runners raced by…..was right beside DeWine lol as he rooted on his granddaughter.
