Name some good things going on with you or just good in general

Me: we are nearing completion of our new kitchen...our old cabinets, counter top, sink, double oven and stove top was 1966!

Botox injections in early May have been working for over a month now and my cervical dystonia is greatly relieved and I can be active again after nearly a year of being unable to do much of anything physical

Daughter got through her final classes of pharmacy school and has began her clinical year

Let’s hear your current good happenings

Finally got our patio put in. I added a blackstone and solo stove and the wife got some furniture for it. Makes the summer so much nicer being able to go out and have a fire a couple nights a week

Last 2 days have sucked with the whole family sick. But, the past 2 months have seen a ton of projects done around the house.

  • Half-ass home gym in garage
  • Power washed sidings of house and front walk/back patio
  • Installed outdoor speakers and got them set up with outdoor amplifier. Ran the speaker-wire under the siding
  • Tons of yard-work and gardening (potted peppers, basil, rosemary and parsley)
  • Cleaned the gutters out
  • Installed 4 new windows, sliding back door, storm door and had to get the bathroom sun roof window replaced because of a leak
  • Have expanded my cooking repertoire. With all the time leading up to meals decided to take on the more prep time stuff

Haven't missed a workout since Covid-19 hit. No excuse to talk myself out of training without the hour and 15 minute commute.

Had my best sales/billing month (executive recruiter) in my 27 years with my company in May.

My nephew is close to taking his first steps, could happen anyday. I don't have kids, so it's pretty awesome to witness. I'm be with him until the 6th so I'm almost positive I'll be seeing him walk before I leave.

I recently ripped out our rotted old deck and put it in one of the waste management bagster dumpsters you can buy at lowe's and home depot. It's basically just a giant woven bag that holds up to 3,300 lbs. The truck came to pick it up yesterday and it was pretty sweet. My wife said I looked like an excited 5 year old watching the guy pick it up.

Now we've got a blank slate in our backyard for a new, larger deck.

What’s one of those cost?

Worth it for some. Nice option

Definitely worth not having to rent a truck, pay the $50 for dropping off a load at the dump, and having to do it in a short window to not get charged a ton for the truck rental. I did it over the course of a week and scheduled a pickup when I was done. I'll definitely use the service again, and likely soon, when I give our garage a deep cleanout.
