Does this move Ohio up to #1 on the OC corrupted states power rankings? Or is IL too far ahead

This guy got what he deserved, as well as the corrupt Borges.  Thank God the REAL repubs in the state had the balls to stand up to Borges and Kasich and have his ass terminated as the state chairman.  Hopefully this will also unwind the Kasich/Borges anti-Trump organization they recently formed, and hopefully Kasich has to step aside from his idiotic plan to speak at the DNC convention ----- what an ass he has turned into.

Lastly, HB6 now needs to be completely rolled back, as many of us railed against it last year and the totally corrupt way it was passed.  What a God damn disgrace.

I thought you said DeWine was a really good man and great governor.  He signed this thing.  What gives?

I'd guess there are some tight sphincters inside the offices of First Energy and Energy Harbor today.

Nothing like a good bit of corruption to get the "He wasn't really one of us even though he's in our party" people to come out in droves!

Lol’d at “REAL repubs”

Would they have that title on their business cards?

“John Smith, republican, no seriously a REAL republican”

Quaker...because that is the only thing in his life that gives him a vague sense of self-worth.

Quaker, you've spoken against career politicians (they're swampy).  When DeWine ran, you said he was an exception, that he was a "good man" and Ohio was lucky to have him.  He's then signed this Bill 6 that these not-real-but-corrupt republicans drove through.  So what about it?  How did this "good man" get snuckered by these unreal republicans?

He caved and it was highly disappointing, and that was clearly expressed, directly.  And the investigation is ongoing.  The utility lobby in Ohio, (mainly electric), and most likely in every state, is the most powerful lobby.  It is a cesspool and in this instance it is being exposed, thankfully.

HB6 needs to be rolled back, completely.

I don't know, $60M makes Mike Madigan look like a rank amateur (he and his associates only raked in like $1.25M)

Yeah OH may be ahead of IL at this point

Although we purchase Ohio muni bonds for clients because the IL bonds are too far into junk status...lol

I know that’s not really “corruption” but..it kind of is

Interesting since he saw fit to sign it into law. What changed?  Just because the speaker was getting paid under the table to push it through, DeWine said it was the right thing to do. So why the sudden change of heart. Is his associate's getting arrested bothering him?
