No you can't get look at it that way. Let's say Ben wins even one more Super Bowl for three and he retires after 10 seasons because of all the hits.

Still a great career and the Steelers and their fans got what they wanted.

It's not pocket passer back. It's quarterback. How they go about it doesn't matter. Doesn't have to be a perceived best way to play the position. Ben uses the skills that make him great, while improving the others.

Or are you just basing that off the playoffs?
I'm just joking around. I like Manning and I think he's one of the all time greats, but you have to give Roethlisberger credit for playing well in clutch situations.
For the last SB win I definitely give Rothelisberger credit, but he definitely had a better team surrounding him.

Its all about championship performances. Manning fails.
Manning fails? He has a SB ring. So he is 1-1 now, so what? He's only 33, he still has a few years left in him.
Al Capone wrote: Peyton has as many rings as his little brother. That's all you need to know about Peyton.
Ok, so they both have a ring a piece, what's your point?

Manning and Big Ben are both very good QB's, but let's be honest, Big Ben has played on the overall better teams. Plus, Manning's WR's played horrible tonight. Reggie Wayne dropped a ball that was in his hands and a possible TD at the end of the game. Of course that would have put the Colts at a TD deficit still, but gives them a chance to recover the onside and possibly drive.

I agree with you but Ben has improved has skills in the pocket which IMO will only help him prolong his career and that's not a bad thing.

There isn't a qb on that list that I would take over Ben.

Matt Schaub above Big Ben? Really? I'm not a Steelers/Big Ben fan at all and I like Schaub, but there's no chance anyone can put him over Big Ben. I also agree that Ben is a top 5 QB. He just has "it", whatever that is. He's not going to win it every year and he does make some mistakes, but he's been great in the clutch, which puts him over the top when comparing him to most QBs.

Yeah, average QB's make a lot of big plays which aren't smart. Come on.

Dude, it's impossible to have a sane conversation with you because if it isn't a steeler you don't think it's right.

It's tough to rank the QBs right now.

Like 10 guys that could easily be top five.

I'd say in the AFC there are five legit Pro Bowl caliber QBs fighting for three spots.

Manning
Brady
Roethlisberger
Schaub
Rivers

Those are the five best and all good, legit franchise QBs. I'd put Manning No. 1 but he is a little on the old side at 33 (34 in March). Ben turns 28 in March and is clearly in his prime, playing at the highest level of his career. Schaub and Rivers are the same way.

Manning won his first Super Bowl at age 30, where as Ben has two rings at 27. Could he win another from 28-31? He's much better now than he was in 2005 and 2008 when the Steelers won.

Are you upset because there are no Brown qbs being talked about? Maybe if there is a top 40 list one of them would make it.

Hypocrit.........you did the same exact thing to me (bringing up teams/topics that have nothing to do with the discussion) but spin it when it suits your cause! Maybe Capone is right, it must REALLY be tough being a Browns fan.

Let me get this straight...you all are comparing two of probably the best five or six quarterbacks in the league, and trying to decide who is #1 and who is #2 based on one postseason game???

Really???

(yawn).

I try to remain level-headed. I know that Peyton is better overall but I am very happy with the two 'chips. Ben played liked crap in Super Bowl XL but he was a huge reason why they made it there in the first place. They don't win the 2nd Super Bowl without him.

LOL your justification for taking Big Ben over Peyton is that Big Ben is a winner, but then say that you would take Big Ben over Tom Brady, who has won more than Ben? Are you a member of Big Ben's family or something?
