I think Brady will be more like himself next year than he was this year. That's the real Tom Brady not the injured one we're seeing now.
The guy blew his knee. That could happen to any QB. He's not going to come right back and be the exact same guy, even though he was still pretty good this season.

^^^My argument is based on the last 3 years...not careerwise. Again, my guess would be that Brees has the #1 overall quarterback rating over the past 3 years. When I have time, I will look it up.
The point is. Brees is a member of the elite class...I.E. Manning, Brady, Favre. Ben is good...but he is no where near the elite class of today's qb's.

A major part of Brady's down year had to do with his supporting cast. The Pats as a team were not all that great.Strapping Young Lad wrote: I think Brady will be more like himself next year than he was this year. That's the real Tom Brady not the injured one we're seeing now.

True. And part of Brees' (and the entire Saints offense) success was due to his defense and its propensity for takeaways. They always say a defense is most vulnerable after a their offense turns it over and Brees had that advantage alot this season....
It'll be interesting to see what goes on in NE in the offseason.

Or it is quite possible that what we witnessed this past season was the beginning of Brady's decline.Strapping Young Lad wrote: I think Brady will be more like himself next year than he was this year. That's the real Tom Brady not the injured one we're seeing now.

He suffered a major knee injury, then had issues with the subsequent surgery/recovery/rehab. He may never be the same player!
I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

Or Brady and the Pats aren't videotaping illegally anymore, so he doesn't know exactly where the defenders will be anymore.

Don't know if this has been addressed yet, but this wasn't how the trade went.IggyPride00 wrote:They should be.I don't think the Charges are losing any Sleep at night over the Decision they made between Brees, and Rivers.
And somewhere so should the Falcons, who traded Brees and LT for Mike Vick. How'd that one work out for them?![]()
The Falcons moved up to take Vick and the Chargers took LT with Atlanta's pick then took Brees with their own at the top of the second round. The two players were not traded for one.
