This morning, Schefter reported that the Titans had a few "offers" from teams to move up to #5. With the way these guys are supposedly all about "analytics" (if the Browns are one of these teams who made an offer to TENN) it wouldn't surprise me if Trubisky (small sample size = anti-analytics) were not the target and they were trading up for someone like Adams or Hooker. Keeps my dream of Garoppolo for 2nd rounders alive. ;)

Once again, I agree 100% on this. If we were to walk away with Garrett, Hooker...let alone Conley too. That'd be phenominal.

I'm calling bullshit on this unless Haslam's making the call. In fact, I don't think they will use a 1st rounder on a QB.

Think about this, if Carson Wentz were in this draft, where would he be projected? Likely as the top QB. They passed on Wentz last year at #2 and they're going to take a lesser QB with the top pick this year? Makes no sense.

Besides, as has been mentioned, if this regime is truly about analytics, 13 games is way too small of a sample size to track their metrics.

Absolutely...you'd have to move to 5-6 I'd imagine. I'd rather make that move for Hooker instead of for Mitchell. I can't trust anyone who demands to be called Mitchell.

If that's the case, and it comes from the top, I hope someone internally has the balls to quit and say it was Haslam.

I doubt that would happen because it's likely career suicide. I'm still waiting to hear from Ray Farmer as to whether the Manziel pick was really his call or Haslam's. Crickets....

Mike Silver (the guy who is supposedly close to Hue Jackson) has said that Sashi Brown told him that the Browns have known who they were going to take for "the last 2 weeks." Pretty confident it will be Garrett.

The problem with this is Garrett is way stronger and bigger and has a better work ethic than dion Jordan had. Jordan was drafted high basically bc he was athletic. They aren't even close to be similar

I've managed to avoid almost ALL draft talk until today.

Decided to read through this last few pages on this thread to catch up on rumors I missed. Goodness it was good to be tuned out. The amount of dumb stuff and awful mocks and everything is so over the top and every year we are shown how inaccurate it was. Don't we understand by now teams play games in the media, Kiper tries to get his guys to be vaulted up boards etc. Why pay ANY attention until Draft Day?

Exactly. I'd be shocked if Garrett isn't the number 1 pick. If he isn't then it has haslam written all over it and if that's the case it doesn't matter bc the browns will never be good if he's dictating player personnel.

That's pretty much what I do. Pay no attention to draft stuff until draft day, go to my one friend's draft party and do so many shots that I need to look up who went first, who my team picked and so on on Friday.
