You're from Ohio and you are a Detroit fan, but conveniently a osu. The tigers have been garbage the past two seasons and you conveniently disappeared from this site. GTFO trying to pretend you're a loyal Detroit fan. Also when your teams break out sell streaks and break ratings records in championships series (back to back NBA finals and now this world series), then you can talk. Until them shut the fuck up and go cry to your boss about your 40k factory job.Classyposter58;1821108 wrote:You are the epitome of everything that is wrong with Cleveland fans. Also the Indians fans don't go to games or really care that much about their team anyway. You clearly had the best team in the division all year and averaged under 20,000 a game? I mean Christ the Marlins had better attendance than Cleveland and both DET/KC led the division with 12,000 more fans a game. I imagine tonight will be absolutely packed with Chicago fans
And also lol at the redneck thavoice who is a Pittsburgh/reds/osu fan. This is the same dude who admitted he cares more about Cleveland losing than his teams winning. Not to mention Pittsburgh attendance dropped significantly after their first 8-8 season in awhile. No wonder you're wife walks all over you. Such a push over piece of shit that can't find a life like tiernan.

Enough of classy being a ***** and thavoice being a low life redneck. Detroit/Cincy/shitsburgh are all irrelevant.
Back to the game. We will find out early if Kluber has it. Hopefully the tribe lineup can produce the same base runners as game 3, except actually capitalize on it.

wow, now I see why pretty much everyone on here thinks you two are assholes...thank you for the validationthavoice;1821111 wrote:I concur. I have been at away games in Clev, Cincy, Indy, Detroit and Tennessee....by far the worst we ran into was in cleveland, but that is to be expected. Just look at all the sellout fans who are selling tix to Cub fans. (in all seriousness though.....I would legit think about selling a ticket as well for that much jack).
I have a chance to go and be on the field before the browns/boys game this weekend for 'work', and still debating if I want to make the trek there with all their asshole fans.

BOth managers have had a short leash so far. Have to wonder if Kluber is rolling along and just gets into some small trouble if they will go straight to miller.iclfan2;1821126 wrote:I could see Miller and Allen going 5 innings.

I think Cleveland gets enough base runners in the first 4-5 innings to have ample opportunities to breakthrough...but all 9 spots in the lineup must be able to be the guy that produces for Cleveland to win.
Cleveland has to match Chicago defensively. Defensively the Indians have been disappointing with Kipnis early on and Naquin/Chisenhall last night.
Kluber, stuff or not...HAS to be dominant with his location. If he can get a fastball on the upper limit and inside....no one on the Cubs can hit that and his offspeed becomes deadlier. If he's missing and the bottom 4 of the lineup aren't wailing away...Tribe in trouble.
Indians IMO opinion have 13 innings of excellent pitchers within their roles. If Kluber only made it 2 innings, Shaw, Miller and Allen could still finish it off. Kluber could go 1-6, Shaw 7-8, Miller 9-11 and Allen 12-13.
Cubs only have 8-9 innings of regular roles for great pitchers. Chapman can go 2. Lester will pitch today but not typical. I don't foresee him having any issue but it's definitely different...could see Lackey as well.

As for the fans/fan base, everyone knows I'm a Reds fan 1st and also a huge MLB fan. I love baseball. I fit into the OSU/Steelers with a side of Duke fan bases that are not greatly tolerable.....but I've enjoyed posting my thoughts both ways throughout this postseason and especially this World Series on this Indians thread. Typically during the season I mostly do my baseball stuff on RedsZone because there is a lot more action on game threads....but RedsZone are diehard Reds fans bitching and butt hurt about the Cubs in the World Series. They are spending all of their energy and intelligence just being bitter and rooting against the Cubs, I can't even post over there. On this thread when things are going bad the Indians folks are blaming THEIR team, manager etc and not crying nearly like Reds fans who literally have nothing invested in it.
These games aren't making me nervous or anxious. I wanted 7 games and I got it. I want the best team to win...when Tribe was up 2-1 and 3-1, they were clearly the better team and found myself swaying their way. The Cubs have rebounded and stolen the momentum and appear the better team and I feel a sway their direction. Game 7 is tonight, I want the best team to win and not reap much benefit from the umps or lucky bounces...if that happens I'll be one happy Reds/MLB fan.

I have found sites like those, who are predominantly one team and just so one sided, insufferable. People rag on me here because they dont like my 'act'. First and foremost I am a baseball fan and know the game. This has been a good series for baseball. I like the prospect of the billygoat curse to live on, but also the prospect of cleveland blowing a 3-1. Tonight I just hope for a close game and prefer it to go extra's. No bill buckners, or shitty calls like the Royals/Cards series (replay helped fix that) and just a solid ballgame.Ironman92;1821142 wrote:As for the fans/fan base, everyone knows I'm a Reds fan 1st and also a huge MLB fan. Oh, I want to see the Buckner but field it and see if he can beat Mookie to the base.thavoice;1821144 wrote:I have found sites like those, who are predominantly one team and just so one sided, insufferable. I remember watching that as it was yesterday. Local kid was drafted by the Mets in 84 so we all followed them. I still think he is safe at the bag. Buckner nor the pitcher gets there in time.Ironman92;1821147 wrote:Oh, I want to see the Buckner but field it and see if he can beat Mookie to the base.
Hope for a memorable one tonight. Can Kluber man up and get it done twice on short rest? How far with the managers let their horses go before getting to the pen. Will Chapman's extended use the last few days hurt him at all? Will the tribe come down with some TA if it isnt going their way early on with the prospects of losing a 3-1 lead?
Let's get this one started!

A personal world series story from game #7 in the 1997 Series.
Game 7 was on a Sunday, and as I sat in church listening to Gospel, the words came down from the pulpit...."god is on the side of justice and right."
Well, David Justice was playing right field, and Jaret Wright was pitching for the Tribe that evening! I thought sure we were going to win.
Nope.
It doesn't matter in baseball whether or not even God is rooting for you....you have to win championships yourself.

I think the key tonight is Santana. He has got to do something and get on base for kipnis and lindor. I swear to god if he pops out in the infield one more time I'm going to reach through the tv and punch his ass. Also we can't try to hit the ball 3 miles every swing. Take what Hendrix gives and take him opposite way and up the middle. Getting an early lead is huge, it really puts the pressure on the cubs bc in the back of their minds they know miller and Allen are able to shorten the game in a hurry

I like that. He was Cleveland in the 90s IMO, not Lofton or Visquel. Still think Charlie Sheen or Lebron would pump up the crowd a bit more and be coolervball10set;1821155 wrote:Jim Thome

Good call. Stage seemed too big for him last night from his indecisiveness in the OF and not being able to catch up to the FB even though he knew it was coming.Crimson streak;1821163 wrote:Davis is starting in center instead of naquin
