It was a a hell of a run. Hell of team. A fun spring/summer/fall of baseball. I really enjoy the Tribe talk on here. Lots of different perspectives. Lots of disagreements but it's always civil.BRF;1821838 wrote:Now that I'm able to relax a little bit now and reflect, I want to thank all our stalwart posters for our Tribe through thick and thin this great season.
I went back to the first series thread to look at all the names because I didn't want to forget anybody.
The first thread was started by the name at the top of the list. Beyond that, the names are in no particular order of importance (just so no one gets butt hurt about not being more toward the top of the list.).![]()
(apologies for my abbreviations)
I salute all of the following and thank you for a wonderful season of memories provided by all your posts!

Beyond that first series thread Fab and Sonofanump joined in and also catlover, Zwick and jmog.
If I forgot anyone, please chime in with the addition.
p.s - I notice one name missing from the list.......Footwedge
p.s.s. - Neg rep to Sleeper for saying "we"
I said it during Game 1 of the Red Sox series...I forgot how much fun playoff baseball was...we need to do this more often (I wasn't counting 2013). We have the foundation in place and the manager at the helm that we should be in the playoff hunt at least for the next 3-4 years.

Obviously [emoji3] just I don't like Fangraphs articles too much. They seem to throw crap and then go to the nth degree to statistically support it. Too many GM wannabes that I feel don't even like baseball.Fab4Runner;1821939 wrote:Of course. But I don't care about the Cubs.

August Fagerstrom isn't one of them. He just got a job in an MLB front office, so I'd say he likes baseball. Anyway, I enjoyed the look into the preparation of the Indians pitching staff.Ironman92;1821961 wrote:Obviously [emoji3] just I don't like Fangraphs articles too much. In early June, had Tribe at 18% to win WS only behind Cubs at like 22%. Their top 5 were Cubs/Tribe/Nats/Boston/Dodgers... so their math obviously knows what it's looking for.

I just thought it was obvious because they were pitching each and every batter perfectly in the first half of the series....and then even more impressive than the plan was the execution by the pitchers. It was maybe the best I can ever remember. Couldn't believe how pinpoint they were. As the series moved on and Cubs got a bit more used to the Indians plan and then they adapted a bit themselves.Fab4Runner;1821962 wrote:August Fagerstrom isn't one of them. When I think back and remember this series I'm going to shake my head at how ridiculously perfect the Indians pitched each Cubs batter. Great amount of work went into getting a report on a team they never face.

Yeah but I've seen them take some indefensible stuff and sell it off like it's the best move.Laley23;1821963 wrote:They nail some stuff.
