Much obliged. Going to try to stick to the 90 minute routine for the first 3-4 weeks, then I may either pick up another DVD, or just do the first 45 minutes or so.

Legs and back was more of a bitch than I thought it would be today. Fuckin' wall sits brought HS memories back.

I'm way late to this thread, but have a question. I wanna get back into shape. Don't want to do any kind of bulking up. At least for now. So if I'm wanting more cardio in my workout, should I go with p90x or insanity?

This may have been mentioned recently but I just became aware of it. That's one hardcore porn I'm not sure I'd want to watch. Girl is not attractive...

I'm not sure if its been mentioned but what do you guys think of this crossfit stuff? It kinda seems alot like Insanity

I've done both P90 and Insanity a couple times. I'm looking to try a couple different things this summer. I read about a burpee routine and started doing that a few weeks ago, just looking to add a few more routines. I was wondering what you guys thought about this stuff

Crossfit is good stuff. I just don't like some of the distance running involved.

I've created a "mish mosh" workout for Summer which will include 2 days of heavy weight training (compound stuff) with some bodyweight (weighted pushups/pullups) exercises mixed in. On my third day I'll be supersetting kettlebell swings with burpees. On non-weight training days I'll do tabata sprints and the BEAST that is the "Prowler" that I'll be ordering soon.

What do you do for your burpees?

I've been doing these for a couple weeks. I've seen all sorts of variations.

Dude in the video is annoying but I enjoy the workouts

A typical standard burpee is just going from a standing position, dropping down into a pushup, standing up again and jumping in the air with arms raised, rinse, repeat...he's doing variations which is also cool for variety.

Precisely. Insanity has a few of the cardio type maneuvers that Crossfit does but they really aren't that similar. Crossfit is based more on Olympic style lifts with other things like running/sprints, ring dips, etc involved. The workout constantly changes.

It takes me about 3 seconds per (I do 20 in the minute at the end of insanity cardio), so with some quick math, that's 5 straight minutes?

Yep. I cant get out 100 in a row. I got about half way and had to take a rest before finishing up. My goal is to finish 100 wiothout any breaks in under 6 minutes. I'm hoping for closer to 5 mins but we'll see what happens

Had arms and shoulders today. Left arm real weak. Wonder if I pinched something. Felt as though I couldn't do same weight with both arms, and not normally like that.

OK, yoga was a bitch today. May be following suit as many on here. Is "Stretch X" a good supplement for Yoga X?
