I had a 1/4 of a biscuit. I just had to, but oh well, thats not gonna kill me, But I picked the croutons out of my salad, and had the ultimate feast with more grilled shrimp instead of fried and broccoli. Shit was delicious.Sonofanump;1150749 wrote:Stay away from the biscuits and potatoes/rice and you should be fine.

That's been my take on a lot.LJ;1150754 wrote:I had a 1/4 of a biscuit. I just had to, but oh well, thats not gonna kill me, But I picked the croutons out of my salad, and had the ultimate feast with more grilled shrimp instead of fried and broccoli. Shit was delicious.
#1, I'm watching what I'm eating, even if it isn't the healthiest. I do drink some beers on occasion, and by some, I mean plenty.
#2, I'm not trying to get super ripped, or get a six pack. I just want to drop a few pounds, and get in better shape.
#3, This workout is like nothing I've ever done, and was not like my normal every day habits... of doing nothing.
Even if I was eating shitty like I was before, I'd still have the workout added in, which was absent. Me eating healthier is just a plus.

If you completely deprive yourself of any and all cravings, you are just eventually gonna fall off of the wagon and binge and probably not go back to the diet. I know where the candy is is in the house and sometimes I will just grab 1 starburst jelly bean because I need something sweet.ernest_t_bass;1150768 wrote:That's been my take on a lot.

We are going to make tortilla pizzas tonight. Everyone says they are really fucking good, so we will see. I will report back.
Also, don't forget, on a lot of food, you can subtract the fiber from the carbs!

I'm doing plyo tonight. I already have the understanding that I am gonna die and most likely have this happen to me tomorrow morning

Chest and back felt good. Nice little soreness this morning. Love it.

Plyo is not that bad. You get to rest between the 30 second reps.

I'm not worried about the cardio portion, my legs and flexibility are not the greatest.Sonofanump;1151318 wrote:Plyo is not that bad. You get to rest between the 30 second reps.

My body just wasn't ready for it today. Last week, (week #4) I didn't do X-Stretch and skipped a day of yoga. Oh, and I drank about 20 beers this weekend. I feel good, now that it's over, but I had little energy this morning.LJ;1151330 wrote:I'm not worried about the cardio portion, my legs and flexibility are not the greatest.

Nothing "increases your metabolism". Your body just winds down and burns less energy when you get older.
#realtalk #nottrolling
If you want to lose weight you adjust your diet and/or burn more calories by exercising.
Taking pills/supplements isn't going to help you lose (measurable) weight.
edit: can't spell

it's pretty much just a multivitamin - and yes supplements work. If i don't have enough protein in the day i supplement that with a protein shake. You're such a troll.dlazz;1151495 wrote:Nothing "increases your metabolism". Your body just winds down and burns less energy when you get older.

I guess that nutrtition class I took in college was a sham. Maybe the professor with a PhD didn't know what he was talking about.

There are so many theories and ideas out there for nutrition, diet, and exercise that no "one way" is right particularly right or wrong. Everyone's body is different and will react in different ways to certain supplements, diets, and exercise.dlazz;1151502 wrote:I guess that nutrtition class I took in college was a sham. The only supplements that are actually worth a damn IMO...
Protein
Creatine
BCAAs
Fish oil
Fat burners or pre-workout supps such as Redline, Jack3d, n0xplod.
I don't even buy into multivitamins. A lot of the the foods we eat are vitamin enriched anyway, but to each their own.
Also, you can most definitely lose weight and burn fat while taking supplements, but diet and exercise is key.
We should have a fitness stickied thread or possibly a fitness forum? Anyone agree?

No need for a forum. This thread is the 5th most popular and the Paleo thread is the 8th most popular.Automatik;1151689 wrote:We should have a fitness stickied thread or possibly a fitness forum? Anyone agree?

I agree...but when people start saying "take X to boost your metabolism" they clearly have no idea what they're talking about.birddog23;1151681 wrote:There are so many theories and ideas out there for nutrition, diet, and exercise that no "one way" is right particularly right or wrong. Eat right and exercise and you'll be OK.
