OSU needs two blow-outs and a convincing championship win to give the committee the ammo to vote for them. Without those 3 things happening they would take way too much criticism from the SEC, Big 12 and PAC fan bases strictly due to the 5 loss VT team (they will likely lose again too). The committee might truly believe at the end of the season OSU deserves in but their hands will be tied to allow them in. It sucks but it's reality. Less than 20pt wins vs IN and scUM and the conversation is over before they even play the B1G championship.

Can I get an updated percentage of our chances?Tiernan;1676474 wrote:OSU needs two blow-outs and a convincing championship win to give the committee the ammo to vote for them. In all reality...how can they put a team into the final 4 that doesnt get into their championship game and therefore plays on less game? Miss st, if things stay this way, wont get into the conf champ game. If OSU wins out...they have to make it.
Plus...at least one of the top four will lose again.

The Big 12 winner should not be considered then. Imagine if Baylor and TCU had to play again that final week? It would make it pretty easy to determine, wouldn't it?thavoice;1676552 wrote:In all reality...how can they put a team into the final 4 that doesnt get into their championship game and therefore plays on less game? After today Virginia tech and West Virginia will have same record. 1 is regarded as a dumpster fire and the other doesn't even register concern.

They are the only conference that games their schedule to stay high in the polls. Later losses typically matter more in the polls than early ones so it benefits SEC teams to play "tougher" teams earlier the season when it doesn't matter. It also allows them to schedule an early SEC game against an overrated team that hasn't been blown out enough yet. Imagine how different pre-season rankings would be if say A&M lost to some shitty Sun Belt school in week 1(ie. they wouldn't be ranked in week 2).ccrunner609;1676690 wrote:Stay classy SEC......nothing like a cupcake weekend. EVERY SEC team should fall at least one spot in the polls every year they want to play some bullshit JV team in week 10.
The reality is, the SEC is so desperate to keep their pseudo-superiority that they literally GAME their schedules to do so. There are 5 B1G schools that would win the SEC this year.

I'm talking about the SEC as a conference, not the SEC East.ernest_t_bass;1676702 wrote:Indiana

Only 5? Have you lost that much hope in the B1G?

At least 17 teams in the B1G would win the SEC east, including ND State.

Yep....didn't finish them off when they had the chance. Drove 95 yards to the 1 with first and goal and called dumbass plays and then fumbled on the 1.....should've won 30-18....but did not 23-18 at UABCon_Alma;1676893 wrote:Marshall 11-0
I think Miss State hosted UAB and beat them by 13

Virginia Tech just gave Wake Forest their first ACC win, by a score of 6-3 in OT. 5-6 now. WVU is 6-5. Wake Forest improves to a whopping 3-8.rydawg5;1676671 wrote:After today Virginia tech and West Virginia will have same record. 1 is regarded as a dumpster fire and the other doesn't even register concern.

One has lost to Alabama, TCU, Kansas State and Oklahoma. Worst loss is Texas.rydawg5;1676671 wrote:After today Virginia tech and West Virginia will have same record. 1 is regarded as a dumpster fire and the other doesn't even register concern.

The other has now lost to East Carolina, Pitt, Wake Forest, Miami, Boston college, and Georgia Tech. Comparing those two even before today doesn't work.
