Also what's with the moving target?

The argument is he was a short QB who could succeed because of success of other short QB's (quite a few were the exact words). The other short QB's with success as far as I know are Brees and Wilson.

All I'm saying is that Manziel doesn't seem to be teh same kind of leader nor player that Wilson or Brees are.

Not that he could kill someone get away with it and still be a "leader".

Wilson is a slightly above average QB that doesn't make mistakes, because he doesn't need to lift that team on his shoulders.

Wilson is an unique person in terms of experience and maturity and really is hard to find that every day in a college kid.
Graduated in three years and then went to Wisky, and played minor league baseball.
You dont make dick playing minor league baseball and you are on the road all the time. He could either grow up fast or fall along the wayside.
Many didnt expect him to step in and win that starting position in Seattle and he isnt asked to win games by himself.

JM will do just fine in Cleveland. Imagine Hoyer isnt going to be real happy. It will make him bust his nuts to win the starting job but you know what will happen any time he plays poorly....

Minny would not have drafted him in the first round if they and their experts werent sure it wouldnt affect him.

Hines Ward was dropped to late firt/early 2nd to the third round to the steelers because he was missing an ACL.

That's why I'm happy we have both. I think Hoyer could be good for us, and having Manziel breathing down his neck will only force him to make sure his shit's together.

Yeah. If Manziel is named the starter, to me at least, it means he earned it and I'd be OK with it. I don't want him being named started if it's because Hoyer isn't 100% in the fall.


Regardless, I think Hoyer will be under center the whole series until he gets hurt/utterly shits the bed (Gabbert-level crappiness).

Agreed. Frye, Weeden & McCoy were handed their jobs even though previous regimes said there was a legit "competition." There wasn't really a whole lot for them to compete against. With Manziel in the fold, I'm sure that Hoyer is going to get all he can handle because I get the impression that JFF isn't fond of losing and loves to compete.

At least the Raiders have won a few playoff games since 1999 and have even been to a Super Bowl. What have the Browns done?

but they have been pretty bad for the last 10 seasons with the best being at .500.

The browns havent faired much worse, but are in a much better position than the raiders going fwd!

Maybe. Just saying as Browns fans don't have much room to talk shit about other teams. I think we are in a better spot than the Raiders of course.

My favorite part about the draft is getting Buffalo's pick. $10 says that's a top ten pick at worst next year. Does anyone really think EJ Manual is going to do jack shit next year? Bills will be 5-11 at best.

No doubt. Much, much better than getting Indy's pick.
Browns raped the bills on that trade.
Browns will get a top 10 pick next year, and they will probably have the 16-20th pick of their own in the first round with their 8-8/9-7 or even 10-6 record (but believe they will be .500)

The Bills, Browns, and Oakland all seem to do absolutely nothing with their draft picks. Can almost lump Jacksonville in there too

Browns miss on QBs. Outside of that they have done pretty good. Obviously some misses along the way (Richardson) but every team will have that.
