ahh, gotcha..
I have mostly maxed out collectors, which help, but the majority of my resources are from raiding and wars.
My clan does 2 wars per week and always wins...The bonus for each win is usually 600,000 gold, 600,000 elix, 1,200 DE or so. So I get that every 3 days or so.
I typically play for 1 hour on my lunch at work every day...In this time I typically get in 4 attacks.
here is my strategy:
I stick to around 1700-1800 trophy level (a good mix of dead bases and bases with a lot of dark elixir up here)
-Overnight I cook 10 dragons
-First attack I search for a base with a lot of resources (and preferably a lot of dark elixir, 1000+). I'd like to be able to at least 1 star the base, and I'd like to get 200,000+ gold, 200,000+ elix, and 1,000+ dark elixir. This is usually easy, it takes some time to search for the right base, but I always find a good target (level 2 dragons right now).
While I'm attacking, I always have the following loaded up: 1 barrack full of barbs, 1 barrack full of gobs, 2 barracks full of archers, and dark barracks making about 10 minions (lvl 5 barbs, gobs, archers, lvl 1 minion).
By the time I'm done searching and doing my mass dragon attack, I'm usually pretty close to having my camps full of the above troops. I then keep loading the barracks and searching and attacked for the rest of my lunch. I sometimes have to hit 'next' for 5-10 minutes until I find the right target, but it doesn't matter because my barracks are cooking up more troops for the next attack, so I have time to be picky.
What I'm looking for with this attacks is 200,000+ gold, 200,000+ elixir, and preferably 500+ DE...I'm looking for bases that haven't been maintained recently, so I check for full elixir collectors and DE drills (easy to tell if these are full). I then unload all of my gobs and barbs in a circle around the base, focusing the gobs on the DE and gold, then when those are cleared out I send in a large circle of archers to take out the rest. Again, I try to get 50% (usually just barely).
Here is what I did on lunch today:
mass dragons: 190k gold, 220,000 elix 2,700 DE
attack 2 : 220k gold 200k elix
attack 3 : 140k gold 140k elix 700 DE
attack 4 : 150k gold 150k elix 100 DE
I also have a level 3 DE drill, which makes 1,000ish DE per day.
I also work from home every saturday morning typing reports from dictations, so I'm basically just typing and listening to a machine for 4 straight hours.
During this time I boost 2 barracks (4x production for 2 hours, costs 10 gems), and I do the same thing with the minions, archers, gobs, barbs and just keep searching and attacking when I find a juicy base, which is usually every 10-15 minutes or so.
I've been doing a lot of defense upgrades and walls, so my elixir has been totally full for the past several weeks (4.5 mill, always full). My teslas upgrades are spread out by a few days, so I'll need 3 million to start the final tesla in 2 days, then 3 million more in 3 more days, then 3 million more 3 days after that...I usually get around 1 million of gold and elix every day on lunch, so it won't be a problem.
I'll also play at night watching TV some times here and there, usually getting 200,000 plus of gold and elix per attack.
I just looked back at this thread...On May 5 I was hoping to get enough DE for barbarian king level 1...
so, in less than 1 month I've gotten the barb king to level 6 (cumulative cost around 100,000 DE), and I've got hogs upgrading to level 3 (50,000 DE cumulative)...And I have 26,000 DE on my way to the 40,000 needed for hogs 4.
