I think it does at a 50% rate, so it is smart to get it out of the collectors and into storage.

That is how I loot....I use roughly 50% archers 25% goblins 25%barbs, and sometimes I'll substitute in about 10 minions or so....I search until I find a base with visually full elixir collectors, preferably high level collectors. I usually shoot for 200K+ gold and 200K+ elixir and just rapidly deploy the gobs and barbs to take everything out that is outside of the walls, then I deploy a ton of archers/minions to take out everything just inside the walls.

i been going 14 giants, 1 healer, 6-7 wall breakers and 90 goblins

I personally upgrade what I use most often first, which is archers/barbs/gobs.

I think Giants get a pretty big boost from lvl 4 to lvl 5, so I'll be doing those soon, but I rarely use them. When I do I use a setup similar to gblock...a bunch of giants, a couple healers, and gobs for cleanup.

I never use barbarians.

Giants, wallbreakers, goblins, healing angel thing. Spells are very very useful.

After playing for 4 months with the clan I joined up with when I first started the game, I left the clan and joined a Reddit clan.

My old clan originally had 50 people and was fine, but it dwindled down to only like 22 people...request for troops were always unfilled, and we were 1-8 in wars. Felt kind of bad leaving these people I never met, lol, but I just did it yesterday.

This new clan takes it pretty seriously without being annoying. They post a spreadsheet online for war attack assignments and stuff, and they get around 100-110 stars per war. Plus, my requests are instantly filled usually with lvl 6 archers, lvl 5 wizards or lvl 3 dragons.

Here's an idea... how bout you create a 'Clash of Clans' thread? Seems to be enough general interest.

How does everyone like the new war update?

I'm loving the ability to have a separate war base. I now have a true farming base, not a 'hybrid', so I'm able to protect my dark elixir and gold better than before.

My new reddit clan just won the latest war like 120 - 50, which was pretty sweet. Playing with these more experienced people has opened my eyes to the awesomeness of the hog riders, so I'm now prioritizing them for research...My hogs are level 1 right now, and I never use them. In the latest war I watched multiple replays of how easily lvl 4+ hogs totally wreck everything.

Do you need level 8 town hall for them?

Yes. upgrade everything possible before going to TH8.

If you read on other COC sites everyone always says that..Or, they say the didn't and wish they had.


I upgraded everything to the max except for a few resource collectors and my Teslas were only level 2...I also had a couple barracks that were only up to the healer level. I also had all troops to the max in the research lab (except for dark troops).

I know it sucks to wait, but I'm very glad that I did what I did. Actually, if I could do it over I would have maxed out Teslas, collectors, and anything else that I could.

I've been TH8 for about a month now and what happens is you need a shitload of gold, and there are so many things to upgrade you will never get to your Teslas or your collectors if you haven't already maxed them, you will want to focus on the new stuff and all of the old stuff will be ignored. Teslas take FOREVER to upgrade at TH8, like 10, 12+ days, so get them maxed at TH7 to make that easier.

Also, there is a loot penalty at TH8, so you don't get quite as much when raiding, so take advantage of the TH7 raids and get everything upgraded.
