Correct. No source has stated Jim said anything, but rather speculated on his interest. I'm not saying he'll be the coach, because I don't think he will be. But he has not eliminated himself as you stated.

Saw a few tweets stating that Bret Bielema is Nebraska's top choice in their coaching search. I hope he comes back, most B1G fan bases already can't stand him and that'd spark a good rivalry with Wisconsin.

Here is Harbaugh's first public statement regarding the Michigan job. Perfect answer.

Regarding @umichfootball coaching opening, #49ers coach Jim Harbaugh says when asked about alma mater, "I think about only my job."

Pretty interesting that Mizzou, a mediocre B12 team for many years goes to the SEC and dominates. Same with Texas A&M; always in Texas and Oklahoma's shadow and now a annual top 5 team that beats up alleged super powers.

No SEC bias though.

The Riley hire at Nebraska seems like a lateral move, at best.

Awful hire. They'll be lucky to maintain 9-4 every season.

9-4 will be lucky.

Guy was at OSU for 14 years, 7 winning seasons. He might be a good guy(all I keep reading is that he is), but if 9-4 doesn't keep Bo around...

Checked out the Nebraska boards and they're pretty upset. Although they are hoping the 61 year old Riley comes cheap and they can pay around $1M to lure Scott Frost from Oregon to be their OC and head coach in waiting.

"@Nick11W: Mike Riley won a coach of the year in the Pac-12 at 8-4. He's perfect for the Big Ten."

Brought the lulz. Doesn't make sense at all.

We have our new "go 8-5 and get coach of the year over the guys who took their teams to 12-1, 11-2 seasons" candidate!!!!

Mike Farrell at Rivals says it's a home run hire and that people don't understand how hard it is to win at OSU. I just don't buy that. He was 5-7 last year, and 29-33 the last 5 years.

Agree. Always thought Riley got too much good PR for what? Similar to Kirk Ferentz.

I don't trust Cowherd.
