Soloman Thomas canceled his visit. "Mike Vrabel isn't a huge loss"

He was very close with Vrabel. Didn't really give a reason, but its hard to try to build a whole new relationship this late in the game

Damien Harris has decommitted from UM and started following Stan Drayton and Tim Hinton on Twitter shortly before the decommitment

He didn't just cancel his visit, he completely eliminated OSU. He was very close with Vrabel, and didn't even speak with Johnson. You can't just bring in a new coach and completely start over with a high profile guy like that.

I read he stopped at his school and they didn't talk, he only talked to Thomas's coach

I think Thomas was a long shot anyway. I think he's Stanford bound.

It's not like OSU could do anything about it, Vrabel left on his own.

Knox is gonna visit UCLA. I could see him flipping. He absolutely loved it there.

No one said anything about OSU being able to keep Vrabel. Some folks just said that him leaving wouldn't impact recruiting

Yep, I called this the day it was announced, that any shot we had at Thomas was canceled, even though was probably long odds to begin with. But like you said some folks said it wouldn't matter.

This is almost a clear indication, that losing an asst. coach, and great recruiter can impact the current recruiting class.

We will be fine going forward as he was replaced by a very good coach/recruiter, but the immediate impact of losing Vrabel is felt with Thomas.

Yeah given the fact this is already his second offense it would be hard to imagine him being back unless something major happens. I was really excited about him too so that sucks.

I meant second run-in with the law, either way doubtful he put the uniform on again.

I don't care where a kid goes, I'm not getting upset over underage consumption. BUT this kid can't seem.to stay out of trouble. He's in a major doghouse. Not sure it's one he can recover from at osu.

I don't think he will. It's not what he did, it's the fact he did it (and got caught) again.
