What we can't understand is giving a movie a 7/10 in the movie theatre and a "can't even rate it, it was so bad" rating on iTunes. Lol this fucking guy never fails to disappoint.
Because they are two different films. I'd give Stepbrothers a 9/10 but the extended version a 6/10. Fortunately I have the dvd so I don't have to watch the extended version. Funny how you guys are so fixated on me you that you can explore my past posts, but are too stupid to understand that just because I commented on a film meant I watched it on the same day (I have no idea when I saw Anchorman 2 in the theater, but it was at least a couple of months back, I was out of internet for a lot of the period in between).

But there is a bright side, that type of illogic will guarantee you a seat at the prestigious University of Arizona School of Law.

Well then fucking specify that lol

You literally posted the same movie within 2 weeks with completely different ratings, and you then expect us to assume you meant one rating for the theatrical version and one for the extended DVD release. Lol

OK, Anchorman 2 - EXTENDED VERSION, no ranking since we didn't finish.

If I had a do-over I'd probably knock the theatrical version down a point or two, not that 7/10 was exactly a glowing review. At any rate, humor is subjective.

Why the hell someone would watch a comedy more than once in the same 6 month period is a mystery to me. I don't care if they have new jokes or not. Unless the original is a 10/10 why bother?

My wife watches every episode of Justified multiple times a week, I think she has a crush on Timothy Elephant, I mean Olyphant. As for me there isn't a month that goes by where I don't watch Office Space or Galaxy Quest. I just think that the writing is clever and it has a calming effect for me late at night.

LOL at the notion that it shouldn't be to hard to figure out he watched the regular version and the extended version based on posting dates. You are one pretentious douchebag, MB.

When the post about the extended version came after the iTunes release? Does this pretentious douchebag need to explain the calendar to you? Note, it is April, in all timezones. If you can find the theatrical release on iTunes, let me know, I didn't see it there. Likely wouldn't purchase it anyway.

Just drop it.

I watched Enter The Dragon yesterday. First time, start to finish. I enjoyed it and I'm not really into those types of flicks.

Joking aside, great film.

I don't purchase anything from iTunes.

I know this doesn't really pertain to the thread....but the new Godzilla looks fucking awesome. I rarely go to the theater, but I'm making the trip for that one.

Yeah I'm looking forward to that one. Never thought I'd say that about a Godzilla movie.

In semi-related news, on Saturday night at my friend's place, I drunkenly caught the last half of Jackie Chan's 70s movie Legend of Drunken Master. There was just some insane shit there to maintain a style that was super-fast and precise while looking completely stumbly and out of control.

If it is any consolation, even the directors knew it was terrible:

Godawful movie, I think my favorite part was the helicopters trying to escape Godzilla and apparently forgot that being in a helicopter they could actually flight up - Godzilla is not Mothra.

Finally saw wolf of wall street. 8/10, found it to be very entertaining, you just have to commit 3 hours of your day. Also the wife is hot.

Netflix suggested I watch some movie called Sex Drive. It was awful, as I predicted.

Blatant knockoff of Road Trip.

2/10

I watched that too. Kutcher played the part well, but the movie just sort of... Stopped.

Wolf of Wall Street - 5/10

First, it's an hour too long. I'm not against lengthy movies as long as the story keeps you engrossed and moves forward. There were a few times while watching this that I felt parts could have or should have been trimmed.

Definitely a Martin Scorsese film. Similar feel as Goodfellas, Casino, even The Departed without the violence

At two hours long this movie would have been a fun if forgettable distraction. At three hours and ten minutes it was just cumbersome with Scorsese ripping off Scorsese

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty - 9/10

With the exception of Meet the Parents (only the first one, the other two were garbage) and maybe Dodgeball, I'm generally very 'meh' with Ben Stiller movies. His loser, anti-fun character (think Along Came Polly) gets old after a while. But I really liked this movie.

I hardly buy movies anymore, but I might pick this one up. That and Captain Phillips are two of the better movies I've seen in a while.

Agreed. While I really enjoyed most of the film and thought DiCaprio and Hill were excellent, the movie was so long that I actually started to hate it (especially since the first time I watched it was in theaters). More isn't always better. Personally, while I am an avid movie collector, I most likely won't buy it because I just don't care enough to ever watch the movie in its entirety ever again. As someone earlier in this thread commented, the head editor should be fired for not doing his job.

Saw Hangover III for the first time last night and, unlike others here, I really enjoyed it. Probably my favorite of the trilogy. Zach Galifianakis' best performance yet. And, as far as The Hangover series goes, the more Ken Jeong the better. His commentary during the parachute scene alone was worth watching the movie ("I love cocaine").
