Was watching Nebraska last night when my cable box decided to reset itself with about 20 minutes left. So I had to look up the ending.....fucking time warner

anyway, incomplete 7/10. Entertaining, had some good messages, a bit atmospheric, but not ohmygod I gotta see that again great

The Wolf of Wall Street, off the charts, pure magic again by Leo and Scorcese. Haven't enjoyed a film that much in a long time.

Time Warner has the worst technology I have ever seen. First call I'm making after I move is to get DirecTv, can't handle this shit here anymore. Free HBO and Showtime isn't all bad though

Hobbit - Desolation of Smaug. Far better than the first one, but not quite LOTR standards, still a bit cartoony and childish. But at least we didn't fall asleep watching it. 6/10

The Aviator - 8/10. A little long (TWSS), but very good. Great performances from Leo and Cate Blanchett.

Mulholland Dr. - 2/10. Hated it. The reviews had me thinking it was going to be good, but no. I enjoyed Naomi Watts and Laura Harring, but that was it.

Her (7.5/10)- thought it captured the desperation and longing that still exists despite advances in social networking. Joaquin Phoenix may not have been acting much because he is a kook of the first order, yet I enjoyed the film and its message. Nice work Spike.

Margin Call (7/10)- It wasn't much for action but the dialogue was great and Jeremy Irons and Kevin Spacey made this film one I will watch again. Don't know why I enjoyed this film so much to be honest. Probably the soul that Stanley Tucci and Paul Bettany bring to their roles.

Apparently, when drinking at my one friend's place, it's turned into an unwritten rule that something with Morgan Freeman in it must be watched.

Last Friday, Oblivion. 6/10 Beautiful scenery and I do enjoy those "everything you know is a lie" plots. It just felt too much like a meh movie with great visuals, though.

On Monday, Now You See Me. 7/10 It was fun and entertaining. I had a good buzz on, so all the magic stuff came across as really cool. I guess I didn't care about or pay that much attention to the actual plot, but it was fun to watch.

Agree 100%. Still enjoyed the movie. Watching Anchorman 2 tonight, have heard various reviews about it.

Saw Noah last night. Two things: Noah might have suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. And apparently 100-foot tall rock monsters helped him build the ark.

Great film, though. Really well done. Dare I even say masterpiece. Ten/Ten. As usual, Russell Crowe was terrific and Jennifer Connelly delivered one of the best performances of her career. Those two possess tremendous chemistry, going back to A Beautiful Mind a decade ago.

Yeah, it was entertaining and, like I said, I tend to like those "everything is a lie" plots, if for no other reason, than to see how easily I can find the foreshadowing of that stuff before the twist happens.

And thanks to one of the supporting actors being in Game of Thrones, I was able to randomly shout out "LANNISTER!" throughout, as well!

Robocop 1/10 and the 1 is only because i like the actor for his role in the tv show The Killing. Other than that it was horrible.

Captain America 2. 9/10. Best Marvel movie to date. Maybe best Comic movie. Great fight scenes. Really good story. More of a political spy thriller.
