agreed. My only issue is that I'm not sure that qb is even in this draft. They all grade out lower than Geno Smith and he looks awful....but they pretty much have to take a chance on one of these guys. I just don't want to see them trade the #4, #26 and the first 2nd rounder to move up two spots.

There will be 5 QBs in this draft better than Geno Smith.

This. They might grade below Geno Smith, but I'm sure Russell Wilson did, too.

A lot of QB's will be better than Geno Smith, draft grades are pretty hit and miss.

I don't want any QB in this draft. Pick a LB with the first pick and a WR with the second pick.

The more and more the draft inches closer, the more and more Im on the Johnny Football train. But I wont be upset with any of the 3.

That's insanity.

Why waste a pick on any of these clowns? They are all Weeden 2.0, this isn't Luck or Wilson.

Luck ok. But did you really want Wilson with a top 10 pick that year? Hindsight is an obvious yes, but any one of those 3 could be Super Bowl caliber players.

I wanted Wilson but not in the first round. Does anyone really see Manziel being successful in the NFL? Or Bridgewater? No. They are both system QBs and you may as well just going ahead and sign Colt Brennan if you want one of those.

Yes. Depends on your opinion of successful (on TBW).

I believe Bridgewater will be very successful in the NFL. Hes been talked about for the last 2 years, hell even drew some comparrasions to Luck if I recall. ( a few similarities between the two) I hate this time of year, people judge players on the combine, get bent, show me the film. And I love the film I see on Teddy. Please get him in Cleveland.

As for Manziel he is either going to tear it up or bust, but we are the Cleveland Browns, who cares at this point? If we draft him and lights it up great, we have our franchise qb. If he busts big freaking deal, we are 4-12 again. Same shit different year. Thats thee worst that can happen, we fail. We are use to that here. Not that I want the FO to fail, I just don't expect much from this team anymore, wins wise.

So by some peoples theory on these boards and the OBR lets not take a qb, lets take one in the later rounds and hope it works. Screw that, give me a guy that actually looks like they can play in the NFL and has the potential for a high NFL ceiling. I'm over project qbs. Manziel Bridgewater or Bortles one of the three. Hoyer while I really like the guy, he is a career journeymen for a reason. Once defenses get more film on him he will probably fall on his face. Sign him to a 3 year deal for back up purposes and cut Weeden and Campbell. Lets be honest if the Browns draft a qb at 4 he is the starter. They can say its a wide open competetion but it won't be.

lol news to me. Always thought they ran the pro style offense there. He was always under center, must be a new system offense we haven't heard about.

Even if we draft a stud lb, sleeper, do you really think he's going to greatly improve the team's record? Only position that's gonna do that is QB. And so you take risks on that position.

There isn't a LB worth the 4th overall pick

Taking an unproven QB isn't going to vastly improve the team either. Why not pick up a veteran QB and use your draft to build another that? A stud LB makes our defense top 5 and that's essentially what made Seattle what they are today.

What veteran would you like us to pick up?

Any of them would be better than picking up Manziel or Bridgewater. Waste of a pick.

Yeah because an unproven college QB at #4 is so much better. Do we need to re-visit how many first round QB's never pan out and cripple organizations? How'd Tannihill ALL PRO QB work out for the Dolphins? How about Russel, Leaf, RG3, Manual, Tebow, Weeden, Locker, Gabbert, Ponder, etc. LOL. I could keep going but you're balls deep in drafting a future bust. The only QBs drafted in the first round that have shown any promise in the last few years is Luck and Newton; BOTH were drafted #1 overall.

The point is Manziel isn't that good, Bridgewater isn't that good, and the probability of both of them being busts is 10x higher than the probability of a LB at #4 being a bust.

Manziel will probably be better than both Manning and Brady. Apparently you never watched him play nor have you looked at his numbers.

Chuck Booms has been saying for months now that the Browns need to do whatever it takes to land this once in a lifetime stud. I say the number 4 overall with the second number 2 would get Houston's top pick.
. As for Booms, nice to see someone who gets it.

There are readily available lists that show what it takes to move from spot to spot in the draft. You aren't in the ballpark.

I want Manziel too. Using Chuck Booms to help your argument is awful though. He is the biggest joke on the radio. Definitely don't want trade up for ANY of the QB's.

Can't take a LB at #4, and I don't really see passing on Clowney if he's there at #4. No way we're not taking one of the 3 QB's if they don't go in the first 3 picks. Good thing is, when the rookie cap, you can afford to sit them behind Hoyer if they aren't good enough the 1st year.
