HighRoller74;1582928 wrote:Sleeper, I get what your saying. You don't necessarily love any of the QB's in the draft (neither do I), I'm also one of the few people that don't think we HAVE to take a QB. I'd rather us make a good selection regardless of the position, instead of us taking the left over QB. (Unless thats the one our Front office has targeted and lists as their guy).

I don't want to be that guy in fantasy football who HAS to take a QB early because there was a run on them, and doesn't want to be left out.

If the guy that Farmer wants is there at 4, perfect. Take him and lets see what happens. But if that guy is gone, don't just take whomever is left, just so you can say you've taken a QB. (Barring the other QB's aren't in similar positions on our draft board)

I do think we need a QB in this draft, but only if its the right guy, in the right spot.
I agree with this. I don't get the hard on for Manziel or TBW. This isn't like Andrew Luck or Cam Newton. These guys blow dick in my opinion and won't win a fucking game in the NFL.

The QBs measure in tomorrow. It will be interesting to see Manziel and Bridgewater. Think Manziel is at 6 foot? How much does Teddy actually weigh?

I lol at the guy that says draft a LB at #4 and not draft a QB. Alex Smith will never take a team to a Super Bowl, ever. If the FO thinks one of those three are a franchise QB thou go and get him. Do I think Manziel and Teddy can lead a team deep in the playoffs? In the right situation yes, and hopefully that's here.

That's pretty solid size for Bridgewater. He looks like he weighs 180, but 214 is very solid.

Here are the QBs drafted in the top 10 of the NFL Draft since the year 2000. Guess how many have made the Super Bowl and tell me why you think Manziel or Bridgewater will be any different? Sleeper always wins.

In the spirit of the combine, I thought it would be interesting to see how we do on the Wonderlic Test. I took both the short and long versions and got the same score both times, and let me say that it is EXHAUSTING! Here's the link: http://thebiglead.com/2014/02/18/take-the-wonderlic-test-think-youre-smarter-than-an-nfl-draft-prospect/

Evidently a lot easier if you take it again.

Pete Caroll didn't have a winning record until Wilson came along. Simple as this, the Seahawks weren't contenders until they got their QB. That was Wilson.

Oh, I'm sure they would have done just as well if they didn't draft a QB and just stuck with the veteran free agent Matt Flynn. Because it's always better to go with free agents instead of unproven draft picks.

You could have put freaking Brandon Weeden on that team they still would have won the Super Bowl. Even if you argument is that Wilson was the reason they won, he was drafted in the 3rd round and that somehow bolsters your reasoning to pick Manziel or Bridgewater #4 overall. LOL

I win either way. Enjoy!

Of the Seahawks last 11 First round draft picks, 7 have been defensive players, and the other 4 were OL. Apparently people want to follow the Miami Dolphin, New York Jets model of drafting QBs with top picks rather than the Super Bowl champs. Logic and reason are on my side and that's how I know I am correct. EZ EZ EZ

7 of last 10 Super Bowls have been won by QB's drafted in the first round.

A lot of what you say, while I disagree, at least has some sense and passion behind it. HOWEVER, this statement is moronic. Brandon Weeden would've gotten thrashed in that Super Bowl. In fact, he wouldn't have made it that far. This statement shows just how irrationally you're thinking.

Indeed. I'll have to talk to my friend who seems to have a Colorado hook-up to branch out to the east coast, because that stuff must be through the roof good to where it just eradicates your brain.

So the Rams are saying that Roger Saffold will be a phenomenal guard in this league. Good chance they are drafting a tackle!

Rodger Saffold - T - Rams

Speaking Friday, Rams coach Jeff Fisher said free agent G/T Rodger Saffold is "ultimately (going) to be an outstanding guard in this league."

If there was any doubt about where the Rams thought Saffold fit best, it's been put to rest. Saffold still appears to prefer tackle, but that's not what he'll be playing if he ends up back in St. Louis. The position loggerheads should ensure Saffold hits the open market. Fisher's comments are also an indication the Rams are very much open to going offensive tackle at No. 2 overall.

And only 1 of the last 10 Super Bowls have been won by a QB drafted #4 or higher. Nice try though!
