Did jmog add anything of substance to this thread? Some things never change jmog.

OB1s updated wants/realistic gets:

4. Robinson
26. Fuller/Roby
35. TBW

I'd still be ok with any combo of Robinson, JFF, Mack, Watkins, Evans, Clowney, or Gilbert with our first pick (depending on if we trade down for Gilbert or Evans)
I'd also be ok with Fuller, Roby, Latimer, TBW, and a host of others at 26.

I just want us to get a combo of QB, WR, Guard or T, CB, LB. with our first 6 picks. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

We aren't getting tbw at 35. A trade up to 32 is more realistic.

Aaron Donald
I was talking to my friend about this. If the browns traded down to say 10, I would not QQ about Donald.

I wouldn't either, wouldn't be a terrible move. He was very productive in College, and seems to be high on a lot of draft boards.

Just couldn't see taking him at 4, too much talent will be left on the board that i'd much rather have.

I think Donald's the best defensive lineman in the draft (Mack, Barr, Clowney are not true lineman, they're hybrid players). If Pettine, who has proven he knows how to run a defense, feels like Donald will help us a ton at 4, I'm OK with it. I'd rather draft offense, but anyone we take on the defensive side the ball is fine by me.

I'm still liking a QB at 4. That's what I want.

The only way I like QB at 4 is if they specifically want a guy and KNOW he won't be available at 26.

Just saying... you said "I want a QB at 4, it's what I want," as if that's the only option in your opinion. I was simply stating that opinion would be very short-sighted.

I said I want a QB at 4, assuming you know I meant I don't just want any QB at 4, I want a QB the FO feels would win. I don't just want Aaron Murray at 4 lol

I also didn't say QB was the only option. I said that's what I want.

I don't want a QB at 4, but if we do go QB I want Bridgewater. I do not want any part of a system QB in Manziel who will be Weeden 2.0 and out of the league in 3 years.

Weeden 2.0 is reserved for Carr.

I know you're going to be stubborn about this but whatever I'll try anyways: the only "system" Manziel played in was a hybrid one designed by Sumlin and not the same Air-Raid offense that he ran at Houston.

Further, all of these examples of "system" QBs that I know you love to refer to (Weeden, Keenum, Colt Brennan) would not have been able to put up the numbers Manziel did in the SEC and often times looked mediocre against the only NFL quality competition they played.

If you're going to harp on Manziel, harp on his actual issues* instead of some dumb and overly simplistic concept like system.

My roommate thinks the same thing, although the only thing he knows about Manziel is what has been pumped out by ESPN. Coincidence?

Manziel will be fine in the NFL regarding his "character issues."
