Kruger is just a guy.
I'd disagree a little.

If I had to "grade" each of the 2 players on playing vs the run and vs the pass (rushing) I'd say it is more like this...

Kruger
vs run-B+
pass rush-B

Sheard
vs run-C+
pass rush-A-

So it makes sense to have Kruger in there on early downs and rotate in passing situations.

NFL Nation writers predict 1-15 for # Browns -- http://es.pn/1CnjS3g
That's pretty much what they predicted last year.

The browns were the sleeper team and now that Gordon is gone they are apparently a 1 win team.

So, a week 1 win and then a 15 game losing streak?

I have no clue what to expect with this team. Prior to seeing the brutal QB play and the announcement of the yearlong suspension to Gordon, I had them at 7-9. Now? No idea. They are going to have to win very ugly low scoring games with defense and a run game. I just don't think the defense will be good enough to win them games consistently.

I'm interested to see how they fair when they actually try to get their running game going and they aren't throwing out a vanilla defense. They are better than a 1-15 team that's for sure. NFL nation can go fuck itself.

They are definitely getting no love. In passing, I heard weekend predictions by guys on the NFL Network or one of those networks and the question was "which QB is going to have a rough weekend?" and the one guy says "Brian Hoyer....that Steeler defense will give him fits." I'm thinking "Steeler defense?" They wouldn't give my high school team "fits" in their current state. If the Browns can run on them, they have a punchers chance.

I think they have a better chance to use the quick passing game and sprinkle in the rushing game once the defense starts to get onto their heals. That has been the recipe to beat the steelers over the years in that 3-4 defense.

Guys will you please stop listening to "national pundits". Hell stop giving them views on their page. They literally couldn't name anyone on the team besides manziel hoyer Haden joe Thomas and gordon. This team isn't going to win 1 fucking game. Hell the jaguars won more than one game last year and they were fucking terrible

Agreed.
This isnt some overmatched HS or college team that just cannot compete from week to week. It is a professional team and it takes alot to just win 1 game. I think Hoyer and Manzel would have to be injured early in the season for this team to only get 1 win. Hell, they play the steelers twice, Jags, raiders, bills, texans...that is potential 5 wins there.

Has there ever been a team with two top 5 or top 10 picks in one draft? We may come close. Now with Gordon gone for the year and I see 4-12 5-11. Hope I'm wrong

Yes. In the 2000 draft the Redskins selected Chris Samuels & Lavar Arrington at #2 & #3.

Bills are trash. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they had a top 2 pick in the NFL draft this year. I expect the Browns to be in the 9-13 range this year.

I dont expect a good year for them at all either. Def is still solid and the running game should be decent. Unless Gordon gets unsuspended, I see Browns as a 5-6 win team. With Gordon I could see 7-8 wins.

Heard Gordon got a job at a car dealership. Looks like he'll be out this year.

My prediction is 6-10. I don't like JF and losing Gordon was huge. Agreed on the defense being solid but is our running game really that good?

It had better be because with Schwartz in pass protection, Hoyer might get killed.

Tate is light years better than anything the Browns have had at RB for awhile. He follows the zone blocking, lets the play develop, and cuts at just the right time. You can tell he's a pro, but can/will he stay healthy?

If the Steelers stay in the defensive package that they've been running throughout preseason, Tate will have a field day. Pittsburgh's starters were giving up 7.1 ypc when running this package. It's very pass coverage friendly and leaves them vulnerable to the run.
