Yes it would be shaken because she trusts me to know whose eyes may view such a pic. My wife and I own a coffee shop downtown. She at times caters events for businesses in town. She does work for the Village as well as contract work (prom planner and musical choreographer) for the school district my son attends. Facebook is one tool for her to communicate with parents, students, and the community. Trust me fucks would be given.

Exactly. This is the big head scratcher on this thread. There is nothing wrong with the pic. Its the idiocy of who it may be displayed to. Unknowingly hasbeen gets this as his and his lady's FB is private. In other words he keeps his questionable pics out of site of the "proper tools".

Always know your audience - has absolutely nothing to do with MY standards, and that is something seems to be eluding you.

It's the standards of whomever may potentially see it that matter. And any time you post a photo online (or even give to supposedly "trusted" friends) you potentially lose control over your audience. So if you are doing something that IS NOT appropriate for all audiences, then common sense says DON'T SHARE THE PHOTO.

Of course, some people are ok with this because they would grab their gf's boobie in front of anyone. Such people lack good judgement, taste and respect, a.k.a trash.

Irrelevant. Obviously someone that mattered saw the photo and was offended. This girl has only herself to blame ultimately.

This is all simply about good judgement and personal responsibility, which many in this thread appear to lack.

It's not equivalent because context and audience matters, which the picture has the potential to alter.
For such a smart guy, you can be pretty ignorant. For the last time I was going after the morality police who were offended by the picture. I then asked MB if he has ever been affectionate with his wife in public. He said yes. I then asked why it was ok for him to be offensive in public His answer was because no pictures were taken.

It does matter because it is hypocrisy at it's finest. People are calling it immoral or trashy when they do similar things but it's OK because less people see it.

This is a great post.

If those pics are enough to tell a potential employer to NOT hire you...odds are, they may be enough to get fired too. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to put this type of picture up on social media. There's really no reason to grab boobs in public too -- my guess is, this ex-teacher's pic didn't happen in "public" but with a couple others present at some getaway.

The only reason why there is worse on television, radio, etc. etc. etc. is because this happens too. We are okay with it happening because it is two adults being "affectionate?" But, if it is on television it would be considered different. I'm not for this happening on television either. No need for it.

There was nothing sexual about the picture, It looks more like a goofing around picture than a guy about to start banging his wife.

It's not hypocrisy - the audience matters, and I'm somewhat surprised that you are too foolish to understand this. But perhaps not only are you ignorant, but incapable of learning and understanding. You're probably not going to do this is your grandmother's living room, yet when grandma checks out your FB to see what you've been up to that is EXACTLY what this picture does.

Nobody in this thread is being the morality police or condemning the picture. She was dense, as you appear to be even after repeated and clear explanations.

It doesn't matter. She's stupid for making it public because you don't know how people are going to view it. Everyone's perception, right or wrong, can become your reality. Smart people are aware of this and use prudent caution.

Again, I cannot believe this is a debate. No wonder people continue to get fired for exercising poor judgement in what they post on FB. This thread demonstrates that you just can't beat common sense into people.

I don't disagree about her being stupid for posting the picture because there are obviously prude, uptight pricks who find something like that offensive.

My wife and I are both in very professional corporate positions and I do understand not to post any pictures that my be deemed controversial.

So one more time, I have no issue with the firing or an issue for calling her stupid for posting. My issue is with the people who are hypocrites calling the picture immoral or offensive when it is neither.

To whom could this be displayed such that it is a problem? In what context could it reasonably be considered offensive or grounds for dismissal?

I'd seriously like to hear a reply from those who think posting a picture of what looks like a vacation is unwise. What, specifically, is it about this photo that makes it unwise to allow the public to see it?
