Stuff gains traction all the time. The headline story on CNN.com right now is about a baby that was killed 20 years ago. You are seeing posts on forums like they are more sports oriented. Go to a website that is more modeling oriented or something, I bet you don't see 1 post about it. I see posts on facebook all the time about beaten or killed children.

I would dispute that...this tragedy is so common that it is lucky to make page 2 in your local paper. CNN? Idoubt it (unless you are Adrian Peterson)....3-4 babies a day die in the U.S. from "Shaken Baby Syndrome" ALONE. If there is something to go on about, it is that this stuff happens all the time, and we only seem to care when it happens to a celebrity.

You're wrong. CNN reports this stuff ALL the time.

Show me the other 1200 deaths. This is only reported because they solved a murder mystery and the unusualness of the case. If they had caught or known who the killers were right away this would be local news, maybe not even on page 1.

I thought they only reported it on celebs? I saw at least 3 others on CNN this past week from various areas of the country. The one thing that the Peterson story has in common with the others you typically see is that the killer already had a suspended sentence for domestic violence. Those always seem to get some heavy reporting.
