I just sit here and lol. The dodgers have a better lineup this year alone. Go look at Boston's lineup...better than detroits with a lot less holes. With Miggy basically useless, detroits lineup just isn't that great.

Yep.....and Freddy Garcia was in line to win until the guy with better stuff shit himself in the 8thAzubuike24;1515230 wrote:So the ageless Jamey Wright got out of bases loaded, nobody out? Crazy.
The playoffs is a whole different animal...not for everyone....a place where no opposing fan wanted to see Craig Counsell come up to the plate in a big moment.

Your talking the Detroit game, correct? Not something in the Rays game that I have missed?Sonofanump;1515234 wrote:Interesting fan interference non call.
It was very interesting. I think the right call on that would have been a double if the home team was in the field, and an out if the visiting team were in the field like they were in this case.

So if the Rays were going to let Ellsbury have 2nd without a play, why would they not try to throw out Bogaerts trying for 3rd on the 2 out hit to center on the previous play?

Red Sox pick a terrible batter(Ross) to try a "hit and run" with!

Seems like 75% of the players remaining in the playoffs are either fiery or gritty.
The only fiery or gritty players on the Reds are some of their pitchers.

They were probably going to. The players probably thought so for sure until a pitching change was made and Peralta with the huge leg kick came in.mhs95_06;1515248 wrote:So if the Rays were going to let Ellsbury have 2nd without a play, why would they not try to throw out Bogaerts trying for 3rd on the 2 out hit to center on the previous play?

For fuck's sake Rodney pitch the fuckin ball. He doesn't look like he gives two shits about pitching to save his team's life.
And his hat looks like an old man that fell down with a hat on and makes his way back to his feet.

I don't know if there are enough Rays fans to give a fuck.....but if there are there can't be any baby penguins, koalas or kittens in that part of Florida after watching this dumb shit pitch.

I mean, lets compare to the 2 teams I mentioned.Classyposter58;1515187 wrote:Why? Like I know you guys always have sarcasm about the talk around Detroit but seriously
Jackson .272
Hunter .304
Cabrera .348
Fielder .279
Martinez .301
Infante .318
Peralta .303
Iglesias .260
Avila .227
5 guys with significant playing time above .300 and 2 others above .270. That's pretty damn good and a pitching staff that set the MLB record for K's in a season
Jackson .272 - Elsbury .298 - Crawford .283
Hunter .304 - Victorino .294 - Ethier .272
Cabrera .348 - Pedroia 301 - Ramirez .345
Fielder .279 - Ortiz .309 - Gonzalez .293
Martinez .301 - Napoli .259 - Puig .319
Infante .318 - Nava .303 - Uribe .278
Peralta .303 - Salty .273 - Shumaker .263
Iglesias .260 - Drew .253 - Ellis .270
Avila .227 - Carp .296 - P ???
Granted I dont know Boston or LAD line-ups like I know Detroits (in terms of who played all year), but way to conveniently list a line-up who has played 3 total games together lol. Detroits bottom 3, any combo of Garcia, Santiago, Dirks, Kelly, Tuiasosopo, was terrible.
The LAD line-up is with Ethier in it, because he played almost all year. Not with Kemp, who was out over half the games.

But that is currently the Tigers lineup. I don't think that they're better than those teams but it's pretty damn even. If the Tigers were dominant they would have won 100+ games, and the reason they don't mainly is lack of speed and defense. Peralta is a below average LF, Miggy can't move, Omar has no range and Prince is well Prince. Hunter and Jackson are good but that's it and is a main concern since that is what usually wins tight games. However the pitching staff is pretty damn goodLaley23;1515261 wrote:I mean, lets compare to the 2 teams I mentioned.
