Oakland with the 1-0 lead on Detroit in the fourth. With how the Tigers weren't that great down the stretch (Cleveland stayed mathematically alive for the division longer than anyone was expecting, part because of how well they played down the stretch but part because Detroit wasn't putting their foot down), it's looking like they might have peaked right after the all-star break during that period where they seemed to be hitting 10 runs a night and they opened up a big lead on the division.

Because this team, with seven runs in nearly 3.5 games, has turned into the Jacksonville of MLB.

Shhhh, don't jinx it. Would love to see this team sent home. If only the tribe would have played without their tails between their legs during the detroit series after the AS break, I would be watching them in the ALDS.

And Jed Lowrie shows Jim Leyland how much of a coaching genius he is by going with Fister instead of Max S. on short rest. 3-0 after a two-run homer.

Meanwhile, Oakland's pitcher is doing his best Wacha impersonation so far.

Good point, I was having fun yesterday when they took a 3-0 lead and the next thing I know, it's 3-3 before the As decided it was time to drop the Fatality on them.

Straily never should've came out....he was good thru 6 and pitch count was good. Bring in the guy that throws harder and HR, BB, 2B.....

A's bases loaded no outs and a 3-1 count and didn't score.

Not how it ever works. You have a roiding POS saving the tigers' season. Just like two roiding piece of shits carried their teams to 2 WS titles (manram, and fatass ortiz).

Apologies for negating....but the last out of the Rays/Rangers eliminating game, Nelson Cruz. I like the karma thing....maybe it didn't work with Manny and Papi because so many around the league were just as dirty.

Hell of a game, Detroit's lineup really seems to be waking up offensively. If this team just takes more pitches then they're gonna be very difficult to stop, basically the whole lineup is above .280 for the season

Why? Like I know you guys always have sarcasm about the talk around Detroit but seriously

Jackson .272
Hunter .304
Cabrera .348
Fielder .279
Martinez .301
Infante .318
Peralta .303
Iglesias .260
Avila .227

5 guys with significant playing time above .300 and 2 others above .270. That's pretty damn good and a pitching staff that set the MLB record for K's in a season

If Cleveland has a lineup like that you guys would never shut up lol. Hell if this site existed in the late 90s you'd be saying similar things

Rays with a big change of momentum there getting out of bases loaded no out situation with no runs scoring! Loney really changes his mind quickly on what play he's going to try to make, and the throw to the new destination, while not perfect gets out of his hand relatively even quicker than his mind changes!

Just turned the Rays game on in the 5th. Why exactly was Helickson pulled? Injury? I mean, it's 0-0?
