Who knows. Lol really UM is just a few possessions away from losing to UConn and Akron and being 3-3. That's a bad team they lost to in Happy Valleyrobj55;1517154 wrote:Which one? lol

And also a 1 play away from winning last night, so it works both ways.Classyposter58;1517167 wrote:Who knows. Lol really UM is just a few possessions away from losing to UConn and Akron and being 3-3. That's a bad team they lost to in Happy Valley

Penn state isn't a bad team. They are just young and inconsistent. Hackenberg threw into some tight windows last night that were pure NFL throws. Give them a year or 2 and they are going to be a damn good team.Classyposter58;1517167 wrote:Who knows. Lol really UM is just a few possessions away from losing to UConn and Akron and being 3-3. From MGoBlog, this pretty much sums up Saturday's game.

Love how UM fans are on full meltdown alert, and just weeks ago they were proclaiming Gardner a Heisman Trophy Candidate and Hoke & Co. the greatest thing since Bo Schembechler.

Well Hoke himself said manzeil would be on the bench behind Gardner....Scarlet_Buckeye;1518263 wrote:Love how UM fans are on full meltdown alert, and just weeks ago they were proclaiming Gardner a Heisman Trophy Candidate and Hoke & Co. the greatest thing since Bo Schembechler.

Hoke heard it some last year after his miscues against OSU...that subsided.
I thought he was doing a good job at first, definitely on the recruitingfront, but the jury is still out. He better improve sooner than later or UM could have another Dick Rod situation on their hands.

Just weeks ago they had beat ND, and Gardner played lights out. Since then...Scarlet_Buckeye;1518263 wrote:Love how UM fans are on full meltdown alert, and just weeks ago they were proclaiming Gardner a Heisman Trophy Candidate and Hoke & Co. the greatest thing since Bo Schembechler.

And that's why Michigan fans are delusional.WebFire;1518410 wrote:Just weeks ago they had beat ND, and Gardner played lights out. Since then...
(1) They beat Notre Dame. Notre Dame, especially this Notre Dame team, is one of the most overrated teams in the country. Granted ND has a ridiculous schedule, but putting that aside, who have they beaten? Arizona St? That's abut it.
(2) ND lost to an overhyped Michigan and an overhyped Oklahoma. Oklahoma lost to one of Texas' worst teams in years last week. Michigan lost to an abysmal Penn State. Just because Notre Dame was in the National Championship game last season doesn't mean they're worth a damn. It's an entirely different team - they're without their "star" quarterback, and gone is their leader on defense.
(3) Gardner didn't play "lights out." When you allow a guy to scramble against a slower defensive front, and you scheme almost every single play around 1 guy, he's going to put up big numbers. We've seen this time-and-time again in College. Watching the game... one actually sees the poor decisions and poor mechanics Gardner demonstrated. Those very same poor mechanics and poor decisions are what's now haunting UM the past few weeks. It's just now you're seeing it com out in a losing effort, as opposed to being hidden in a winning effort.

Penn State is nowhere near "abysmal", they aren't even a bad team.

How are Michigan fans delusional when most already know, and agree, with most of what the hell you just said??Scarlet_Buckeye;1518953 wrote:And that's why Michigan fans are delusional.

I've not seen many UM fans beating their chests and trying to proclaim Michigan is some kind of power house because they beat Notre Dame.

Some of Michigan's non-conf schedule for coming years. Pretty impressive I think.

Ohio State:
2016 BGSU, Tulsa, @Oklahoma
2017 Oklahoma, @UNC
2018 @TCU, UNC
2019 Cincinnati, TCU
2020 @ Oregon
2021 Oregon
2022 @ Texas
2023 Texas, Boston College
I'd say that's pretty impressive too.
Comparing them...
OSU's #1 = #3 Oregon. Michigan's #1 = #9 UCLA. Advantage: Ohio State
OSU's #2 = #18 Oklahoma. Michigan's #2 = #16. Advantage: Michigan
OSU's #3 = NR Texas. Michigan's #3 = #22 Florida. Advantage: Michigan

Both are indeed impressive, but you can't compare them now to what the teams might be years down the road...I have to think Texas has a pretty good chance of being ranked in 2020, don't you?Scarlet_Buckeye;1519446 wrote:Ohio State:

Yes, yes I do. But for all those asswhipes that will sit there and BLAST our teams years down the road when, say, TCU is an abysmal again, and say, "Why's OSU scheduling Little Sisters of the Poor schools" won't remember 10 years ago when TCU was cleaning everyone's clocks - even in BCS games.vball10set;1519457 wrote:Both are indeed impressive, but you can't compare them now to what the teams might be years down the road...I have to think Texas has a pretty good chance of being ranked in 2020, don't you?
