With all the recent news I have to imagine Braun has to be up there assuming it's proven he has taken PED's and is linked with Bosch. Basically throws a working man (test specimen collector) under the bus. Lies about it. Lies about how he will admit if he does make mistakes.

But I think A-Rod is the winner with possibly Philip Rivers (just have never liked the guy).

Well in the grand scheme of PED's Braun isn't in Lance's universe. Lance financially ruined a bunch of people's lives and lied for 7+ years.

I agree, but Lance currently isn't in pro-sports. Also I think there is still some good salvageable out of the Lance situation. He was an inspiration to cancer patients and old overweight men to get onto bicycles and get healthy. He did do a lot of good, but he also did a lot of bad.

Braun isn't nearly on Lance's level as far as ruining individual lives, but of current professional athletes he has to be up there.

Rivers comes off like a jerk, but I think he's just too over-competitive. Not an excuse for his behavior, but on the other hand the stuff coming up with A-Rod and Braun - this could be big.

Not sure how I could forget about Rivers.

We need a HOF for this....a lot of athletes from the past!

I honestly don't find Lebron much of a douche anymore. I think he had the single greatest douche act back in July 2010 (is that the right date?) But since then, he really hasn't acted too bad. He has his moments when he's complaining about fouls (see: offensive foul on Hibbert in game six where he took off running down the court) but every player whines at times. Several of his teammates are a lot worse.

He's getting older and more injury-prone on a team that's getting older and more injury-riddled, so he's not delivering the same amount of hurt feelz to fans of other teams during the football season, so he's declined from "MR SUPER DOUCHE!!!" to "Mr. I can't believe we haven't mentioned him yet!". Then it'll be "Man, that guy was a real douche; whatever happened to him?" and so on.

Success is a part of doucheness. In theory, a guy like Omar Casspi could be as big of a douche as Kobe, but one's an aging megastar and the other is a nobody everywhere outside of Cleveland (and possibly in Cleveland, considering his role on the team was definitely not "integral piece moving forward"). Both of them could get "busted" by tabloid-like sites for not tipping after huge meals, but with one, you'll get a lot of "It's Kobe, what do you expect" and the other will get a lot of "Who the fuck is that?" responses.

In a way, it worries me. If Ben is losing his "Uber-Douche" shine on this site, maybe the doomsayers are correct and the sun is setting on this era of Steeler football.

Agreed. Different types of scumbag. I don't think different levels (IE completely scummy), but definitely different types.
