With the wet rub the flavor seem to be more intense. The over the top item is the BBQ sauce .... I make my own.... I will send it to you guys it is easy and more of a north Caroline old time favor who wants it?
I'd like to see it. Nice looking smoker full of goodness, BTW.

Does anyone here have an "Ugly Drum Smoker"? I have been reading up on them and they seem to be just as good as more expensive ones, and can be had for around $100 or less depending on items you use for it. I am not mechanically inclines, but I think I'd like to try this.

Yea, that's basically what I've been reading up on. Don't have the space currently though, or a place to burn out the barrel

I've built several of these, it doesn't require much space to burn out the barrel. A friend of mine burned his out in the backyard of his apartment building, it's really not that big of a deal because it is contained to the barrel itself.

Gotcha. Ha yea my 2 bedroom apt and in city complex would still probably take issue ha. How do you like them compared to other smokers you can buy? Do you have the some lit or the flat top? Te other thing I don't get is an ash tray some people install. Couldn't you just dump it out?
