And isn't coming off a major knee injury...Trading Revis might be the smartest thing the Jets FO has done in quite some time. Now if they can turn their attention on how to use Teblow.

Draft day trade I'd like to see: Rubin to San Fran for a pick that lands the Browns EJ Manuel

Remember the niners have the second pick in round 2. Just before the Eagles.

Doubt it.

Beyond pissed. That would be worse than the K2/Wimbley/Quinn picks.

The pick doesn't have to be at 6.

If our first round pick is a TE, I will be livid.

Chud loves him some TE's and I don't think they are extremely confident in out current situation. Not the guy I'd pick but the guy I think they might pick.

If it is the #45 pick, then fine.

He'll be long gone before then, imo. Doubt he gets past Pittsburgh at 17.

With an elite tight end this offense would be a beast next year with Chud/Norv's system.

People would be grumpy about the pick until they saw us scoring points in bunches like we did in 2007.

Might not be the best value at 6, but in the bigger picture adding an elite tight end would do more good for this offense than many people seem to understand given the pieces we already have.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not disagreeing. But after the anger I felt towards us taking Weeden last year, I am confident saying I will never be as mad at a pick as I was at that one.

Right around this time last year you were telling us all how with a QB like Weeden we'll see this offense explode with points and the excitement in Cleveland would be back.

Just so you know.

I like Eifert, but let's face the facts about tight ends: there are no healthy two way tight ends anymore. There are pass catchers, and there are blockers, and there is no one who does both who can stay healthy (Gronk).

With the abundance of teams utilizing a more pass catching tight end in college and thus increasing the supply of them, I think it would be an absolute reach to take Eifert in the 1st when we have MUCH more pressing needs. There are plenty of pass catching tight ends that can be taken round 3 or later.

Hell, I think Jordan Cameron will have a breakout year if given the playing time in this offense.

Tavon Austin at #6 would piss me off even more. Worst picks IMO, Quinn and Wimbley. I was LIVID that we gave Ngata to the Ravens for dick. Almost happily ate my words with Wimbley had 11.5 sacks his first yr. Only way I could be more pissed would be if we drafted a 3rd round or worse prospect at #6.

Remember how vehemently opposed I was to contemplating Weeden well before we even took him? The only way I could be more upset at a pick is if I felt similarly to a prospect as I felt towards Weeden, and yes while you're right I can't guarantee I won't feel that way in the future, it would take A LOT to get me back to that feeling of pure vitriol.

In case you didn't get the picture I F*CKING HATE BRANDON WEEDEN

Excellent point. How many TEs in recent memory were the primary offense and won a SB?

I was fine with Quinn initially until realizing all of the teams that needed QBs that passed on him (LOLphins taking Ginn). I struck out on thinking Quinn might be good.

Back to your post, I don't think I would be mad at Austin at #6 as much as I would be extremely confused. I think Austin will be a useful player down the road, but of what use is he to the Browns right now?
